Glad you guys like a64. The design team worked really hard to give us something great. I think they knocked it out of the park!

Oh and anyone who is having issues with the neutral not setting correctly, can you mention your deadband settings? Just curious... let's just say I'm bug hunting.

Check the model you are using on your radio - different models will send out different variations on the signal - it can actually be measured if you have a ProGauge. Some models need to have the center point moved slightly to send a clear signal of where the neutral point is being transmitted from. I have a 4pks and of the 10 different models I use - one of them has to be trimmed 3-4 clicks in either direction for the radio to send good neutral point signal. Once you move the trim, re-calibrate the esc to the radio to be sure your getting full operation. Also make sure your EPA's are at 100 for throttle and brake.

We haven't seen any programming issues directly with the units in a64.

Hey Nick, with the pc link is there a program to download first like other systems or do I need to have the esc hooked up initially?

Got the vtx10be all wired up and loaded with the A64, no problems there. but when I went to re-calibrate the radio after loading the A64 the esc did something wierd. When I pulled full brake and hit the vlink button once all the lights on the right side started blinking with a chime and would not stop, I had to disconnect the batt to shut it down. I have brakes and forward power, but brakes seem a little soft. brake pwn is 2000 with power @ 100% and I still have to turn the brake trim to 100% to get semi-brake power. Have I done something wrong when I calibrated the radio with the esc? throttle and brake are @ 100 on travel ( I have a dx3r ), and throttle trim was centered. where does the brake trim need to be? I first did it with brake trim @100 and brakes did not work, so I set trim to zero and that's when I started getting the issue with the esc.

Is anybody having trouble downloading the new software on their pc/laptop? When I start downloading it I get a notice from my Norton security saying "is not safe and has been removed". Does anyone else have Norton and have a problem downloading. I'm VERY technically un-saavy so if anybody has suggestions, please put in Neanderthal terms .

Couldn't find any option that said "trust". Just have to wait for the wife to come home and take a look at it.

Viper did not "sign" the software. And your PC security is blocking unsigned software. There should be an option to allow unsigned software. your PC is protecting you from viper, lol.

Haha! I'll let the wife read these and see about downloading it when she gets home from work tonight. When I try to "figure things out" on a computer, strange things happen!

I had the same thing happen with my pc. when the Norton window pops up and tells you it deleted the v-link, there is an area to the right that you can click on to tell you more info. There you can tell Norton to disregard the v-link program and it should let you run it.

This is the easiest way -- software was done just like last time - so something was changed via Norton, but we promise, we are not trying to get your computer info.....is this how cybernet started in Terminator?
