I do RMA's on the king golden site. sorry. I have heard that about the US site before someone needs to fix that. I will let my team manager know about your issue.

It might have to do with how long ago the esc was purchased? I had one that was way past warranty and it would not give me an rma#..But I have an esc that was still under warranty and I got an rma# for that one..I purchased both from sp usa..Keep calling,I got through on my 1st try..

What transmitter are you using? Set the direction of throttle channel to”REV” or "NOR" then calibration again.

Default 1/8 buggy gearing

Hey all.

Im after a starting point for gearing for my JQ 1/8 elec buggy. Its a yellow edition with Rcmonster conversion. I have a silver arrow V2 esc and silver arrow V2 9.5t 2150kv motor installed but doing some set up runs up and down the street the motor is up to 74 degrees C after about 2 minutes. Im guessing thats miles out. I have a 15t pinion fitted to get the buggy running straight etc. The esc has the factory settings in it also. Any help would be much appreciated.

Is the V2 motor recommended for 1/8 E buggy usage? Reason I ask is I thought it was like a 550-ish kind of can. If it is anything like the motor that cam with the Silver Arrow V1 ESC, it was not up to the task.

A primer on the drrs function would be greatly appreciated from some one in the know.
Taken from the Stock1 firmware instructions:

"Item #7 Digital Racing Response System (DRRS 3.0): This setting refers to the RPM increment that triggers the ESC timing increase of 1 Degree at a time. A Higher Timing Punch setting will produce a faster acceleration and hotter motor temperatures."

Yes according to the Sp website they are, or were listed as an 1/8 motor for 1/8 buggy. I do remember guys not liking the v1 motors even though but havent really heard anything good or bad about the v2 motors. I run a v2 5.5t in my SC104x4 and its ballistic. Maybe they just like the 2 cell better than 4.

Thanks! I see you are in the sacto area. Once I get everything together, hope to see you around. LSR is probably my closest track. Thanks again.

Man, that Silver Arrow v2 motor is not for 1/8, you will end burning it... You can use it in a SC or something like that, with 2s Lipo; trust me.
