Speed Passion Thread

Glad I saw the off road thread. My Reventon R is working great. I just received a Pro for my B5 build when it comes. I wish the LCD programmer would store all of the esc firmwares so we didn't need a computer to change them.

Guys, Im having an issue witg my reventon pro. After I turn on the esc and tap the throttle, the red and orange lights blink back and forth for about 3-4 secs. After that, the red light only continues to flash. When driving on the track, it behaves kinda unpredictable (rough braking/accelarating). Im using it to run a reedy m2 8.5 in a 2wd buggy btw. So far I have tried different sensor wires and reset the esc (via program box).

Hi, I have an older Citrix Stock Club Race esc that I want to use for blinky 2wd buggy racing. But I am having a hard time figuring out the programming on this thing. I don't have the programming card/box for the esc, but I didn't think that would be a big deal since there really isn't much to adjust on the Stock Club Race esc. But I do want to be able to adjust the braking force and drag brake settings. Is there a way to do this on this esc using the button on the switch? The instructions I found for the esc on the speed passion website do not describe how to do this.
Also, I do have a programming box for a revention pro 1.1 I have in another car, but when I plug it into the Citrix Stock esc it doesn't allow me to change anything. Is there a way to make this reventon programming box work with the older Citrix esc?
I just want to be able to tune the brakes to my liking is all. Any tips on how to do this would be appreciated. I would even buy the programming box for the citrix, but I cant find one anywhere. Not even on ebay used.
Also, I haven't used the esc yet, is it any good, or am I just better off getting the newer version or the reventon R or something? Didn't want to spend the cash if this one worked well.
As long as I am asking questions.... how would this esc run without the fan in a 2wd buggy w 17.5 motor? Will it overheat? The fan makes it a bit of a tight squeeze where I am trying to mount it so I was thinking about trying it without the fan. It should have good airflow where I am mounting it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey guys i ran my tekno buggy tonight with the speed passion revention pro with a losi 2800kv motor on 2s. The temps was 110 speed control/ motor was 124 at the end of a 8 minute main. And lapped the field 2 times. There was a cog on take off but that was it the motor was sensor less. I don't know if the motor is 4 or 2 pole?? But it was fast!!.

Yes sir it is the rtr losi SCT motor but is it 2 or 4 pole? Cause I put 15° of trimming in the speed control and had it gear 44/17 . We got a small indoor carpet offroad track. Next week I will gear it up some more the a 18-19 tooth pinion. Everybody else was running pro 4 tekins i want the 550 4600kv blaze. I think it should be bad azz!!!!!!

My reventon pro went up in smoke last night because of a short in my transponder. Had my transponder plugged in to the aux port on my rx and I plugged my battery in, turned on the ESC and there was a sizzle followed by a cloud of smoke. This is the first and only speed passion product I've owned, would it be worth it to start going through the steps of getting it warrantied or am I SOL?

Contact the office in any case on Monday to see what if anything can be worked out.
