I would probably stick with one close to std Phil, just take the roll bars off, as the grip can be quite low. I had been running my 415 up there regularly before I moved. I ran in 27t Stock, and with the spool in, but recently I have been moving back to the oneways, as I just feel they suit my style better.

camber: 1.5 all round
front toe: 0deg
shock posittions: std F and R
Ride height; F 5mm, R 5.5mm
Droop: F #5, R #4 (yokomo gauge)
Springs: Yellow all round

All suspension block & and camber link spacers as Std, EXCEPT 0.7mm shims under the front/front suspension block.

You could try C/A blocks on the front too (to give some inboard toe out), I started running it like this and havent gone back since.

One thing to look out for though is the 26mm rims (as thats what I am assuming you running) can possibly rub on the front steering knuckle arm.

better entry and it smooths out the exit on turns.

If you run aspahlt maybe you should wait till november but if you run carpet get the original one the MS version will have a 2.5 mm chassis and all hop up options with evo 4 suspension and shock towers that will work with it.

I have another question, i've been hearing people changing something like the bulk heads with the evo4 or something like that. Or getting new parts for the transmission, is there a reason why? And the New TRF415, any guess's on cost or will it be the same? And it comes with new suspension, shock towers, anything else? Thanks

It sounds like you are talking about the "Tamiya Limited Light Weight Suspension Conversion kit, p/n 49346". It uses the front and rear suspension from the EVO 4. Surikarn ran this setup on his 415 (and won) at this year's "Reedy race of Champions".

Tamiya also released a "Finned Motor mount/bulkhead, p/n 49342" for the 415.

Just got the aluminum rear hubs for the LW suspension from Square in 1.5-degree. Looks really cool and pretty light.

new/old suspension:

at the cs-race the marcs used the old suspension, i used the new one. in the early training runs my car was 2/10 faster than the others. but when traction increased my car wasn't that fast anymore compared to jonas, benni gröscheloder the marcs.i think the new suspension works hreat on tarmac and on low traction-tracks.

last sunday ronald völker (tamiya wc) and me practised on a quite small/new high traction track. at the beginning i was again much more faster with the new susp. but in the evening when traction wasreally high ronald was 2/10 faster.
again the same effect....


btw,perhaps some more non-german-drivers will participate at the cs-race next year.

May I have your asphalt setup for a medium grip track (tight track), with the evo4 suspensions.

How much droop do you put on the rear (generally). I ask you this because when I put 4 on the rear there is a gap between the spring and the collar. I have to put 7 onthe rear in order to remove this gap, is it normal?(this is for the regular suspensions).

So no one knows when the refined TRF415 kit is coming out? So the LW kit for the TRF415 is worth buying? If what i've heard is right, Tamiya is releasing a new TRF415 kit with the new schock towers and new suspension. Please correct me if i'm wrong thanks.

I love the 415, outta the box it is probably the best car I have owned. The Helios is definately a monster that I am still learing about all its features.
