if anyones interested in a never seen dirt novarossi bonito (rear ceramic bearing version) send me a pm.
I put 2 tanks on idle with the engine warmer on the engine to start the break in; still need to compete the break in.. $355 shipped

2 turns out from bottomed out?
i ended up with my adjustments on the 24065 wayyyyyy too far in for my taste and i deduced that the carb was just not right , i switched back to 24069 or 24063 and it ran awesome again
i believe i ended up 1 3/4 turns out from bottomed out and it was still rich on the lsn uggggh
honestly in "racing applications" 99% of all nova users and allll of the "pro" level drivers use 41021 , coincidence ? i think not

Try to keep temps under 240°ish until nuts drop though
The most common mistake made with the break in of nova engines is when users try to lean em down to make power before they're ready to be leaned out

On a Bonito it sure does........Probably explains why some here think the Bonito is lazy LOL..........On a BTT the 41001 makes more torque and RPM then the 41021 makes......Same for the P5......... Most do run the 41021 but that is likely because they have never taken the time to test anything else...........With us we blaze our own path, we don't just blindly run/recommend something because that is what everyone else is running........

YES !!! roughly 4 MPH more on our straight and noticeably more grunt off the bottom as opposed to the 41021.........Maybe it makes it too aggressive for some tracks ? However on our track surface the owners of the stock Plus4 are usually looking for more juice and the 41001 wakes it up nicely over the 41021...... Don't just take my word for it, just try it out and see for yourself what you think...The engine will even sound nastier and throatier on the 41001........

plain and simple if someone is using the 9901/41021 on their Plus4 and happen to be looking for more kick ( which some definitely are based on the posts here ), then they can find that extra kick by installing the 41001 manifold instead............ The 41001 will give a little crisper throttle down low and a substantially better mid range and top end run out..... If someone is happy with the output of the 41021/9901 on its own then they have no reason to change.......

Yep..not rocket science. Newer racers sometimes feel that a faster engine will make them faster on the track. Not true unless you can handle the power and not overdrive.
If you are bashing, feel free to blow your tires off of the rim. We all have fun in different ways with these things. Just trying to give those that get what I am saying something to think about.
I always appreciate the data in this thread from those that have experience in the subject matter. Those that have actually tested their proposed engine/pipe/manifold combos with several different users provide invaluable valid input.
I always tell the new racers I help at the track that getting info is good, but you always have to take into consideration the validity of it based on the source. ;-)

We are talking about a stock Plus4 here......its anything but a wild monster of a engine....many guys have this engine on the 41021/9901 and are looking for more kick....I just showed them a way to find more kick....
As for testing, few here would match the amount of testing we do, nor match the equipment and facility we have for testing....dyno,test track, radar gun, acoustic tachometer.....we test everything and assume nothing.........
