Its unfortunate to see people leaving the vehicle. But, in my opinion, a lot of it stems from the unfortunate fact that for the SC10 4x4 regular owners there wasn't the amount of push for getting setups that work in loose big jump tracks that a lot of us need.

All I can really say to you who are thinking of jumping ship is give AE a bit more time to see what they get us this year for setups for the conditions we run on that are lacking.

For the guy who had issues with tires loading up, I would say maybe look into a tread similar in agressiveness to a step pin and possibly trim alternating pins to help with the dirt load up effect.

For those who use the 8mm mod as far as the part done to the rear hub carrier goes, I have a question, just for my own understanding.

Assuming you had say a parallel link stock (ie- no 8mm mod), then, go with a parallel link with the 8mm mod, so in essence, no angle just higher link. The effect should still be the same correct?

That said, on conditions where its loose and you want more traction in the rear, would you gain the ability to go effectively lower with the inner ball stud than non-8mm mod setups and get that rear grip you need?

Sorry if this is total wrong what I am thinking, but I am wondering if I put the 8mm mod on can I generate more traction in the rear by having the stud lower than what I can do on right now without it?

Kody's set-up perform's great out doors Cain , Region 11 champ used it on a dusty outdoor track .
Suggest using the standard hub & camber , no 8mm mod for outdoor , will need the extra traction the standard hub brings....

I'll give it a comparison to what I am running right now as well as the setup I got from the local driver who TQ'd the last race. Just getting all my ducks in a row when I do my reconfiguration this week.

Do you have any thoughts on the 8mm mod but with a very low inner ball stud height as far as the traction generated?

8mm mod raises the outside & inside stud's to reduce traction & roll, so if you lower the inside stud with 8mm you will feel more traction .

Even more traction using standard hub & camber ....

Isn't the camber rod longer too with that mod? That would increase roll/traction while the lower inner in relation to the outer would reduce roll?

Very interesting..... Currently my issue is understeer.
Here are my facts..
High bite clay
Clicker locked
8mm mod
Yellow front springs, 35w, no reb.
Blue rear springs, 27.5w, no reb.
V2 center diff, 4pins
26mm fr ride height
25mm rear ride height

I'm thinkin about lowering 1mm around and loosening clicker...?
After that I may drop inner rear ball studs 2mm...
Ideas??
