Oldguydust,
Try 6 pins in the diff then 8 and see what gets what your looking for. Easy adjustment to make, play around with it.

More pins is like a thicker diff fluid in a center gear diff.

Activated clicker will help with turn in, but as soon as you get on the gas and you are having understeer issues you are in 4wd and the clicker is not active.

Also try equal out the ride height, more weight on the front with 25/25 vs 26/25.

If the setup that you are using is the outer hole on the hub then that would add roll and traction compared to the base setup of middle hole right? And then you are taking some away lowering the ball stud?

Lord I miss him in this thread.

Thanks to both. Figured it was like that, but wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing. Based on what I have right now (lowest stud position, no 8mm mod), going to see about lengthening the link.

Heck, I wonder if maybe a lengthening link "mod" of sorts could be beneficial lol

I found that belt tension and tire tuning are big. For me a losser belt and lower bite tires up front made it night and day. Personally I need a chassis stiffener. Tk make tne belt tension more consistent. I am poor atm, so it will have to wait

This might've been posted since I"m new to this forum I'm not sure, but for a high bite track you may want too look at one of Kinwald's set ups.

High bite clay

8mm mod
Yellow front springs, 35w, no reb.
Blue rear springs, 27.5w, no reb.
V2 center diff, 4pins
26mm fr ride height
25mm rear ride height

I'm thinkin about lowering 1mm around and loosening clicker...?
After that I may drop inner rear ball studs 2mm...
Ideas??
what are you front and rear diff fluid configurations? For high bite (it was carpet), I liked 7K front and I believe 5K rear, albeit , was a clutch basket but from what I am initially thinking for this winter, would still do the same with the center diff but more pins of course than I do right now (4)

I think your ride height is way too high. I never run more than 24 unless the track looks like it was carpet bombed by the USAF.

Plus it's easy.

Good point Cain & Shaun... diff fluid.

First tried 7/5 with the C-Diff then tried 5/5 and it gives me what I'm looking for. Odd occasion I get to an outdoor track I will play with pin count, 6 pins baseline for indoor.
1:8 buggy fluid change for a new track, no big deal. Fluid change in this thing... OMG.

Anyone else see the pizza banner at the bottom of the page? Mmm I'm getting hungry

Personally I don't think so. The time when I have seen people get the motors too hot is when they have it pegged at near WOT as far as the motor is concerned around the track for the race versus gearing it correctly.

Watch it for sure though.

What gauge is everyone using for ride height that doesn't cost more than a pizza
