Trying to avoid traction rolling on medium/high traction track.
The 8mm mod works great on preventing traction rolls.

I liked the 8mm mod and will probably put it back on. Has anyone used less than 7mm on the inside? What were the results?

I agree up to the point where fanboism replaces accurate information.

i have tried 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, and 8mm.... i liked 6mm the best on a medium traction outdoor track. not indoor season yet to say what i like best on super high bite

6mm felt the most consistent, but with 7mm ran faster laps.... 8mm was too much and 5mm was too little for me.

So I went to 4seasons rc Sunday. Indoor tight clay track high traction. I tested the Exotek front locker hub all day. Back and forth on and off 3 times over. I have concluded that I prefer the stock v2 on the factory team over the exotek. The exotek made the truck feel more inconsistent and I had less control, cornering felt sloppy. The stock v2 was smoother overall and more consistent. Stock was faster by nearly .5 - 1 seconds. Didn't notice a difference between the two on the straight away.
Anybody want to buy a used one?

yeah, it is probably not needed indoors. I never really had too much of an issue on indoor clay with the stock vts. But on loamy outdoor, I liked it.

Have to keep in mind that with the Exotek, you should be running different front diff fluid than you would with the V2 diff. Other wise, steering will suffer

ok, lets talk about that. Has anyone found out which diff oils work best with the exotec outdoors mixed traction? loamy to wet soft clay?
