you may have a barring that is going out in the drive train

The cage failures on fans can be fixed by using the rubber isolation washers from the radio tray between the fan and the chassis.

i went out today with the 1410 motor, mmp with 10* of timing and no fan. i was geared at 15/62 and after 7 mins of hard running max temp was 163. i have an on board gauge so i can record the highest temp the motor gets. i also have the sensor at the back of the motor where you are gonna see the hottest spot.
also running a crc 40c 5300 lipo.

esc was at 125.

im gonna go down to a 14 and check temps again.

this system is new to me and im just getting the bugs worked out before we set out for the nats next weekend.

Hey Vito, I run the same motor, Indoor I'm at 12/62 - outdoor on a large track I jump to a 13 pinion and watch my motor temps. With the 13 pinion I can give some of the Nitro guys fits!!

WC. The bottom end is all I can handle with the 12/62 gearing, My truck launches out of the corners. Especially with the Exoteck front locker. What it seems I'm down on is the last 30% of the straight. Not that anyone is blowing past me, Just seems as though I hit an acceleration "plateau" I guess you could say. Running no motor timing and 10 Deg through the ESC. Maybe I'm just looking for more without wanting to "Pay" for it. IE timing and boost.??

15/62 should be good i run a 4600 tekin at 14/62 and it comes off after a foll battery in the 160 to 170 rang with my rx8 or my mamba max but the mamba max will hit 200 ez with out a fan 13 tooth works good to but to much wheel spin
