SC10 4x4 Thread
got in my first race with my SC104x4 outdoors here using RC Shox starting setup. Our track was ran dry and was a hard dry surface, very loose, somewhat bumpy, with a layer or fluff on top. Tires were off, will hopefully get that fixed soon but I changed the following since rear traction was darn near non existent:
- White rear springs
- 25W losi in rear
- Rear shocks upper mount inside 1 position
Vehicle was awesome as far as handling goes other than traction issues. The Center diff is MONEY. the way it could pitch into turns and take them at speed ... you want this hop up.

The only changes I can suggest is to use the tire combo that working best at your track.

A lot of guys here will tell you to try a smaller pinion, add boost , timing, ect to improve the trucks acceleration.
Instead if you need more acceleration ?
Gear up a tooth ..
Whats happens when you gear down a tooth ?
Just risks more wheel spin and this can kill the
acceleration your looking for ....
However
If the traction is good a smaller pinion is smoother & coast brake improves ....
( better for infield performance)
Suggest to always test a smaller & larger pinion just to see if there is a benefit with either...
Using the Reedy Sonic 550 4.5 *
( 32p/62 spur , 12t <> 13T pinion)
*Hauls azz fast

With the four pole sensored motor, making torque is not an issue anymore.
