SC10 4x4 Thread
Well finally finished my FT SC10 4x4, I started yesterday and finished it up this morning (took me a little while because I was working on two of my other cars as well yesterday and my hands started to get tired since my power drill died lol)..........

Review out of the box, yes it is basically the same as the original SC10. The good things, I do like the shocks better on this one and I really like the new design on the slipper/clutch setup........The bad, if you are running saddle packs the gens ace 6000mah are a tight fit (any saddle with a 31.33mm height), you cannot use the stock screws to mount them.... I am not sure on the exact size since I just used some spares I had but I believe you'll need ones that are 20+mm in length.... So now I need to buy a longer set screw to install the battery strap lock (for now just using a washer in place of it)..........Also the space they leave you to install an esc is tight, I don't believe an RX8 (or with similar dimensions) will fit. Only fix for this is to put the esc on the same size as the motor and your RX on the other side.........Finally the chassis brace feels real flimsy and may break over time if you crash alot like me lol.....Other then that I can't wait to get this on the track and try AE's slipper setup.......
Here is the FT version next to my original SC10 (which I converted to center stick pack):

Finally had a chance to run my truck today, after having it for almost 2 months. LRP X12L 5.5 motor ran great, at most 65°C after 2 runs back to back, using a gens ace 100A sensored ESC. Only issue I had were some rollovers on high grip corners. Jumped fine on the jumps we have, good speed down the long straight.. only issue I have, as predicted in my first postings about the kit: The body already has some tears and bad ones at the rear, where the rear bumper smashes into the body on landing or rolling over.

They're re-branded ESCs actually.. http://www.gensace.com/epages/genspo...ESC/Car_Series
Are you running swaybars on your sc10? I haven't had a rollover since I installed them on mine.......

I see alot of "not LHS guy, i'm human" and whatnot. /sigh
And do not fret my children! It is a humbling notion even for someone of my caliber.
I know I sit at the precipice of divinity in my occupational choice to all of you, my... 'little people'. But I SHALL NOT FORGET your 'cute' mortal ways when the time to raise the RC Heroes into Valhalla has come!
oh my god, please find the humor in making fun and don't take it literally.
