I tested my truck today after I scaled it. The truck jumps like it has wings, no more dipping to one side or having to hit the brakes to bring the front down.
I also got to work on my setup. The track had no grip, which was the usual for it. I ended up putting 5mm worth of shims under my ball studs all the way around. I also lowered my ride hight about 2mm in the front and 5 in rear. The truck is much more predictable now and I can control the side.
Now I get to figure out how to transfer what I learned today to work in a high grip indoor track.

with the SCTE your going to fight:
run time
low tolerance parts fit
driveline wears out
they are extremely hard on electronics especially ESC's
none of these issues exist with the SC10, they dont break
I won this weekend not because i beat the fastest losi but because i out strategized his ass, and he admitted it himself, he cannot go hard for ten full minutes. i pushed him the entire race, never letting him get more than 10sec in front of me when he bobbled i was on him like white on rice , even got in front of him once or twice. 9:45sec he dumped and i didnt.........I WIN!!! i would much rather straight up beat him but end result is i won the race.
i admit its hard to pass up a truck thats 80% built, decent priced and runs great BUT it is not made in america (dont care what they say, no adult in america is going to assemble and entire truck for that price!!!) so you basically have some 8yr old 3rd world kid assembling a toy with ill fitting parts!! if you think for 1 minute that you are going to be able not touch it or upgrade it your have been sadly mislead.
Now the hyper , all im going to say is you have wasted your time if you plan on being competitive with the higher ups in the food chain. if your group is not super fast and on that level than you will have good luck with it. fact is there are no hyper's or jammin's running competetively in the national circuits and there is a reason. Shocks are only 10mm, jumps bad and you cant get parts. once you have fixed those problems you still have to figure out how to make it jump and turn!! Sorry my friend but the 230.00 you have just spent is not going to get you very far. i promise i can get a stock SC10 to run circles around a hyper all day long!!
Well i only run club races really as for fast guys i run with some of them in a pro truggy class im competive with them just starting out in that class during the outdoor season. Its 90% driver mostly.
I know about lower runtime and wear not real bad though/harder on escs from running a 1/8 E truggy thats nothing new.
I know about the losis from owning their 1/8 buggy/truggys the wear is a big downside . I wish there was more manf that make 4x4 that are made for racing insend of just two
Oh associated /losi is not made here ethier.

Sounds like fun! It seems there is a barrier that i cannot break, need to shave a 1 or 2 seconds f my fastes laps, and become more consistent. It seems like the people i race with are either faster, or slower. i need more people my speed to race against.
Yeah Smiley , Mantis and Wipf are just too damn fast for me.

Wipf dumped too, the computer was doing weird crap all day. rollins had a 5 second lap and it counted in 2wd. Jones really qualified 3rd in SC but the computer missed a lap and that also happened to Smiley in the second qualifier. Wipf never got around me, as a matter of fact i think only Jason and i crossed the line!!
