Im not a HES customer yet though I am good friends with a few of them. The advise and suggestions you give in all the forums are spot on. I myself have used your advise for different situations and it is much appreciated! Keep up the good work Monty!

Thumbs up

I would like to thank Monty again for his amazing service! Once I placed my order he confirmed with me over the phone. Outstanding! He really goes all the way with customer satisfaction!

Monty- Since this is my first Novarossi engine. Any pointers so to speak? I use 30% byron's and always preheat my engines. So, I've got those covered. I was wondering for the rest of the break in process if I should just run it rich and start tuning to temp? Since I had you do the initial break in. Which I'm sure you did heat cycles. LMK what you recommend. Thanks again for your awesome service and expertise!

After a bench break in , preheat , fire it up , take a minute to let the oil work itself out , give it a nice conservative tune and run it , try to keep temps between 190-210 if ya can , 220-230 wont hurt it though , just dont pour the coals to her til ya coax her legs open

And with nova engines you actually have to tune the lsn

You'll get it bro lmk if have any questions

Sounds good bro! I recall you saying the Nova engines tune a bit different then O.S. I know this is a generic question but, how so? I've always heard O.S. tunes very easy and is much more "user" friendly for someone whom isn't a expert. Thanks again for your time.

Os engines you can just lean the hsn and call it good , nova dont work like that , at least to get good reliable performance , watch the bernard durand video in "the tuning bible"

Depends on how "power hungry" you are

I prefer X3 with 2096ss/41021

Well you know ...enough to get over any jump but not to where you cant control it under power...im planning on getting a JQ THE Car. Im not sure if the x7 fm is too much or even if the x3 fm is too much or not enough.

If you like too much power for buggy that you can tame then X7 , if you want just enough X3

I just got my Houston tuned Plus 4 yesterday and can't wait to fire it up. Looking forward to reporting back my experience with what should be a great engine!
