Does the 5150KV use the same mod 1 pinion gear that the 4600kv uses with the Ten-SCTE or do I have to buy an adapter to use a Mod 1 gear? Can I plug the Copperhead ESC into my computer to program it???

The 5150 and 4500 (550 sized) Copperheads have a 5mm shaft, so they do take the larger pinions.
The Copperhead can have the programming detailed with the ProGauge, we are still working on the VLink computer program. But the ProGauge fits in the tool box a lot easier than a laptop.
Tom - not really worried our VTX/VST systems are ROAR legal, and plenty fast on the track!!!

I knew I was going to miss someone I didn't know in the Cactus Results - and it was a biggie.
Mike Friery TQ's and Wins both the 17.5 and 13.5 Buggy classes!!! He also finished 4th in 13.5 4wd. Awesome results!!

You are not going to be disappointed. Power, speed, easy to work with - oh yea, it doesn't hurt your wallet either. All around a good deal. FYI - a lot of the development work on the motor was done with the SCTE.

Youll be more than pleased, I sold my pro 4600 and RX8 after having the opportunity to run the copperhead 5150 combo. I run on a good sized 1/8th scale track and several locals couldn't believe how fast it was and even better yet at that good of a price

Thanks nikos. The Viper power worked great all weekend. Definitely had one of the fastest cars in the 13.5 buggy class!

I just wanted to take a moment and say that I found out over the weekend that Steve Semeraro had past away late last week. Steve ran for Viper last year and turned down a spot on the 2012 team because he had to get out of racing for a while. He was one of the first people to try Viper in the NE and helped to get the ball rolling. I was surprised when I saw him at Motorama last month, he said he had to race when he could. We agreed to get together at some tracks in CT this summer. Kinda shocking news, I can't say I know exactly how old he was,but it was before his time. So if you are so inclined- say a little prayer tonight, squeeze your love ones a little tighter. Steve - finish the lap your on.......

I just put together a mod buggy with a VTX10R ESC and 7.5T motor. When I soldeered everything together and programmed the RX and ESC. Something isn't right. The motor is flat and won't wind up like it should. I have it geared 23/78 and it's on profile 1. 100% punch and motor power is 100%. The whole thing seems dead. I can't figure it out and wonder if something is wrong with the ESC or motor. They are both brand new. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions?
Also, #1 is stated at 13.5-21.5 and #2 6.5-10.5. Would I be better off setting for an 11.5 to #2 or #1?
