I dont recommend the "zip tie" method , its hard on other components

Use a plastic dowel or toothbrush with the end cutoff to push it out from the bottom , used this method thousands of time

Learn something everyday...been using the zip tie method for the better part of the past 10 years.

I guess I will go buy a new toothbrush, hack the end off my current one, and use on my engines.

Ok im looking at the losi nitrotech n21 motor for buggy.I have a bf 21 now that runs great but it seems to not have alot on top...is the n21 the same motor???dose i thave more top end...how will it do on a large track..and what pipe is best for either motor..i have run the werks 2013 on the bf21 in my mbx6t.It had a good low to mid pull but fell on its face on the top.I also have the ofna 086 pipe but havnt run the bf with that pipe...will i see a difference with the 086..
so how is the n21 compared to the bf21.Is the 086 better for the bf
Or do i just get the fusion 3x?

Hey! The Nitrotec is a great motor I had mine on my Losi for 7 gallons and it still runs great. I won a couple races and finished top 3 in about 15 races with the Nitrotec last season. I just got a BTTA so now I have the Nitrotec as my backup. Anyway yes it does have a decent top end and awesome run time (12-13 min.) with #7 restrictor also the Losi RE10 is a great pipe for this mill or for a little more top and less bottom try a RE12. Great motor for the money! R7 conrod, Team CNC piston ,and good front bearing make it a great deal! Good Luck!

Jamie - the 2013 pipe you're using is killing the top end of the BF21. As Savannahmick stated, the N21 is a very good engine with top components. However if you toss that same 2013 pipe on it, you will be disappointed with the top end.

Put the Ofna 086 pipe on the BF21...you will be pleasantly surprised and wonder why you didn't try it sooner. The 086 is one of the best top end pipes ever made and it does wonders on a large track.

Comparing engines, for roughly the street price of the N21, you can have a fully modified Fusion X3, see Monty Houston's thread at Houston's Engine Service

Still on the fence about a new mill? Go try that 086 pipe, you will have a completely different BF21. Good luck!

I am looking for a new buggy engine for the next race season. I am a fan of OS Engines (especially the Ninja JXB01a), because they had excellent quality, were easy to tune and delivered many gallons of runtime.
But now I want to try a Nova mill for the first time. I canīt decide between the Plus4BTT and the old Plus4C Team
A friend, who drove many of the old Plus4, said they had some quality problems, so one engine is awesome and the next is total crap. Is this true and maybe fixed with the BTT? Maybe houston has some information about this.

Regards Chris

Hmmmm I wouldnt say that novarossi has any quality issues , the plus 21-4c team is the plus 4 I sell the most of , plus 21-4 buggy next then btt/a then btt in order of volume and what you guys prefer as far as engine feel .

plus 21-4c team/9901ss/41021 is good

Thanks for the fast answer. So you recommend the Plus4C Team instead of the BTT?
I keep this pipe combo in mind, but I have a brand new Losi RE10. Any experiences with this pipe for novas?

Im not necessarily recommending either , jusr saying I sell more team engines than btt/a ot btt, the choice of which is ultimately up to you as the buyer

They are both great and im 100% certain you will get the same high quality in either and be very happy as well

After metal to metal "pinch" friction is gone and a good compression seal is formed then it is safe to lower deck heighth , I dont like to run shimming any lower than .65mm , preferably .70mm , this will require different shims than what is supplied from the factory

Default thanks guys

i will try the 086 on my bf and see how she likes it.But im also looking for a new 3port and if the fusion 3port modded can run with the upper end motors and still give the run time of a 3 port that would be great!!! i will have to look into that motor as well.
thanks again for your time guys
