SC10 4x4 Thread
With the MMP/4K I run 7 for Torque Limiting and 30deg of timing from 8K to 17,200 with 15/60 gearing.
I noticed a pretty good top end difference just going to the 60t spur from the stock 62t spur.....like it hit the sweet spot.
Temps are 145F after 5min heat and 165F after an 8min main.
With the wrong gearing and timing this combo is flat on top.

. We would love to make you a convert come on over to the SC10 4x4 you won't be sorry. Just pay attention to what is said here. Tons of great info. You would want to get a kit instead of the RTR if possible. If you can you might want to wait for the Factory Team kit. You can get the current kit for 209.00 shipped at Tower if you have a member code.
Do you race? I mean you can get the RTR and upgrade as you see fit. As with almost every RTR out there you will eventually want to upgrade the electronics.
These aren't in the US warehouse, I waited for mine, didn't take to long.

I swap between 2 of the 6000, and 1 5600, between my 4x4 and 2x4.

They fit perfect and supply plenty of power...
Oddly enough the 6k packs weigh less than the 5.6k pack.
BTW, stay away from the soft packs, if you can help it.

I will bet that the SC104x4 RTR would be reasonably competitive as long as you upgrade the slipper, but it won't be as competitive in 4x4 as the SC10RS is in 2wd. One is a tried and true chassis that has evolved over years and years, the other isn't even a full year old yet. It's fantastic, but it's still just a baby.

Bear in mind, the SC10RS was an evolution of several other trucks that have been around for years (The T3 evolved into the T4 which was stretched into the SC10, which was evolved into the SC10FT, where the setup was tested and tuned, all the while, they released 3 different RTR versions of the SC10 and finally the SC10RS. The RS may not have all the FT bling, but the box setup was certainly honed in a LOT.)
