SC10 4x4 Thread
I have been using the 5000mah 40c. If you bevel the rear outside section of the chassis they go in with a little flexing of the belt tunnel but nothing major. no foam needed. 6 months and they are still going strong. The nano techs are a 1mm shorter and would fit a little easier.
Might want to look at the internal gears and check for wear. I've run the bearing mod on my front diff for a while and it's holding up well. No leakage yet. If you are doing a rebuild you may want to consider it. My front diff is still tight with no wobble. Should replace the seals too.

I used a well worn set of diff housings to try it out and so far It's working well. For the price of some 5x10x3 bearings it's cheeper than new diff housings. I'm going to use new housings on the next rebuild and see how long they last.

Yes you want a high C rating. I would recommend the 65C-130C Nano-Tech lipos. (I think thats the C rating)
The NanoTechs will fit. I use them and they fit fine. You'll find they're 49mm wide, not tall. Make sure you order the castle creations bullet plugs though. I have melted the positive terminal on 2 batteries because of the 'cage' type plug. (high resistance connection). You want the best surface to surface contact. The cage connectors just don't cut it. (recommended to me a few pages back, and it has solved the issue)

So I drove my Tekin Pro 4 4000kv for the first time today.
Meldrum Bar finally had the water flood reduce and the Track isn't under water so I went down there today.
I like my Pro 4. But with the 62/15 (I think) I was running, I had shitty speed. I ended up turning my Travel on my Trasmitter up to 140% in order to attain anywhere near enough rip to get up and around the bank like I did before with my Castle 3800.
I'm going to turn up the gearing a tooth or two, but my heat is already far past what my 3800 was experiencing. As of right now, I'm not pleased. Looks like I'll have to get a fan now too. A little disapointed in the least.
Edit: I also paid a very keen attention to the variation of my 3800 and the pro 4 as far as punching the throttle and the sensor, I was correct in my assessment a little while back to someone, That I do not notice a bit of difference. That is 'my' assessment. Not a blanket statement. (outdoor fast track assessment only)

The part i tested today was wonderfull!! i also made some other major changes in the truck that dropped my times dramatically! last week we had a large event (107 entries) and i had a HARD time with two Losi's! one of them i eventually took care of but the other one stayed .5 seconds in front of me for 6min 45sec and then i traction rolled, it was a 7min main! The guy is pretty good but i have never had a problem beating him. He had his traffic/marshall mojo and could do no wrong! So it got me thinking about the only thing we dont have is quite simply.....weight. So i added more weight and also went back to the 6000mah tall saddle packs but this time they were mounted inline and i have to say it made a big difference, i now want a 4600 pro4! last week in the main on a track that was blue grooved and fast, my best time was 31.0. today on a loose rained on track i went consistent 31.9's and a best time of 31.2. my best time on this track in the same conditions like today was 32.2. i will go into details after our RCPro event next saturday.
