IF it's showing 12 67 you can open it up and dry it out. Rice, or a hair dryer will work fine. I recommend the latter.
Make sure it's 100% dry, hook it back up check your A B C wires for good connections. Make sure you're on motor type 1 2 or 3 and power it up. Result? I noticed that their was a ticking/clicking noise coming from either the motor or esc, I couldn't tell which, so I desoldered the motor and powered up the esc, no ticking no code. Resoldered all connections and pulled apart esc to blow out and its all good. Works flawless. Cheers |

Ok I tried for a minute then put it down lol does the red go to the right or left?

Get a Dremel with the round sanding bit and go over the edges lightly. Works really well and making the connectors fit mo betta. ;)

Black towards the sensor port. it is tight. mine is in a dificult position at best.

so glad i don't use the fans,
that tight fan port is no longer an issue as i just leave the hotwire adapter plugged in. |

For the record those temps while on the warmer side aren't horrible. I'd like to see them lower as well and bet the gearing change will sort that out. Your truggy is also over geared if you're running 17/45. i put timing on 1 thinking i'd be able to get longer run times and keep everything cooler, as i thought lower timing and higher gearing will give me more or less the same result as default (timing on 10), but it would be more efficient. so my question is, for what im trying to achieve, would a better starting point be putting the timing back to 10 and keeping the 15t on? and will this keep my temps down? |
also what is the minimum amps required for my setup?
wanted to try out a 2250mah 6s 65C but its only 146.25 amps i assume the 2700mah 65c would be about the minimum (175.5amps) |
I noticed the firmware was 246 on my new system but I updated with Hotwire and the latest available on there is 244. I'm gonna be running the RX8 2nd gen with 1900 in buggy so what's best firmware 244 or what came on it out of box 246 that I can't find on web site?

The newest revision gives more control in datalogging and I think also the timing went from 1 - 100 to 1 - 30. I updated when I got it so I haven't had the first version of the RX8 G2 firmware to know for sure the timing was 1 - 100 like the G1 ESC. I know the newest is 1 - 30 to make more sense when adding timing up to 30°.

Cool, what are most running for the timing? I was thinking 0 or 10 I just want it to stay cooler not worried about power so should I run 0?
