I have the iT4 and its a grate Transmitter if you get the latest firmware upgrade ;)
|
and replace the smd chip yourself so you can bind multiple RXs..
I found that I never really looked at the telemetry on my iT4 so sold mine and went with the Radiolink RC4G. No regrets! |
Mike, you are correct sir. Went to the track last night, (first time in 22 years) there was a retired pro there, (so he says) Ron was his first name and something like Rory for his last name. He was ranked back in the early 2000's he tells me. Well Ron figured it out even though he had never touched one. It is a very finicky selector. To fast and it wont do it and to slow and it wont do it. Don't turn it far enough and it won't do it, turn it to far and it won't do it. BUT it will do it. Ron said he really liked the TX, and he mentioned 600.00 TX's he has had. Said it was a little slow compared to others, but very precise. So, Jerry and all others I apologize for my rant yesterday. By the way I thought it was crazy fast, but I am comparing it to the AM radios of 20 plus years ago. Couldn't hold a straight line to save my ass.

Cool, I'm glad you figured it out ;-)
BTW it is quick enough for bashing. Funny story is while I'm waiting for my RC4G to come in I've been using an old Futaba Magnum Junior. I'll tell you it is pretty darned fast for such an old transmitter. It has the big fishing rod antenna rocking the 75mhz and for the last week and a half I've had no issues with it. It is just a tank. |
I have read the manual more times than I would like to admit. Is there any drag brake setting on this tx?
|
If I'm not mistaken its under abs?
|
So ABS is the new word for drag brake? Wish I understood exponential and the difference between rate and exponential. just doesn't make sense the way they are explaining it.
|
I've contacted Fly-Sky about the issue and recived an promptly email that replied that they would send an SMC chip to solder into my existing FS-iT4 Transmitter. (grey) Received the chip 3 weeks later. I took apart the Tx with excitement only to remember that ive only solder a handful of times When I got to the actual board I Disconnected the Tabs and thought better to just find someone to solder it on.

You got a response??? I have e-mailed twice and NOTHING!!! Mattie, back to the drag brake. I have read the ABS section over and over, nothing in there makes me think there is a drag brake.
|
I'm not shore but it sounds like your running electric? I Use the ABS for my nitro. Just like a car it pulses the servo (throw) to make a wiggle effect to keep the tires from locking up, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System).

Hello christian977, all,
I follow the procedure from file "FS-IT4 updating instruction.doc" from Flysky. When I try to update my computer can`t see my FS-iT4. But when I open the control panel to see joystick function the FS-iT4 work fine. I can use its as joystick. I have tested 4 firmwares to update my FS-iT4 from : - Absima v1.0.0.0 device not detected - Carson v1.0.1.0 device not detected - FlySky v1.0.1.0 and v1.0.2.0 device not detected - Modelcraft v1.0.0.0 device detected. I have updated my FS-iT4 with Modelcraft but this is an old firmware version "1.01-DE2 18-05-2013" I'm in contact with an employee from FlySky since the 22 October 2014 without progress. The last answer was on 25 October 2014 "Maybe it is the problem of hardware." I think that the problem is software. Does somebody could help me, please ? Any ideas, please ? Regards, Renaud I have replaced the two resources of types "RCDATA" inside file "Modelcraft GT4 v2 Firmware Update GT 207200.exe" by the ones from the file "Update firmware FS-iT4-US.exe" identification 900 and 901. The update process has worked perfectly, but I does some collateral damage in the software level. Flysky FS-iT4 Version 1.02US Hardware 1.0 07-12-2013 TX ID: 0150BAB4 A new menu item is present "i-BUS setup" on "RX setup" : Where can I find documentation about it, please ? Where can I found information about i-Bus, please ? Any ideas, please ? Great news, I got an email from Flysky :) The FS-iT4 has an FACTORY MODE :) With it, I could calibrate throttle and steering and fix the most important of the collateral damage. Regards, Renaud |
