I just bought one for $160 from my LHS.

They're available now at my LHS in Toronto, Canada for CAD180, which is, USD150.

For what radio is that for?

finally tested my KO module out...

Well, I finally got a chance to do more than bench testing on my KO module and 3 Spek receivers. I was having a little trouble with two of the receivers, so I was really curious as to how they would perfom. (2 of my receivers wouldn't accept my pre-set trims. I had to click my throttle neutral setting a few times to get my neutral back to true neutral.)

Anyway, I'm happy to report that all 3 worked with flying colors. Even the 2 which I had trouble with never lost their settings or wanted to re-set my radio settings. Once I bound the receivers and made the adjustments the tirms never moved again.

So I guess that if anybody else has had the same trouble I had (trim resetting), just try making the minor adjustments and then test it on the track. If you can deal with the minor trim adjustments, then you may not acutally have a problem and you won't have to send you stuff in for service. I was afraid I was going to have to send those 2 receivers in, but they worked perfectly, so I won't unless something new crops up.

neato!:D

Any good indoor carpet tracks in Des Moines? I run indoor carpet 1/10 and 1/8 scale off road....I have some good close friends who live in Des Moines and was wondering what the RC life is like out that way!

if you have websites that would be awesome.

Availabilities are for the M8 and Ko versions only. According to my LHS the 3PK versions, which I'm on the list for, have not been shipped out to them yet.

My receiver will enter the binding mode (flashing LED) but the transmitter module will NOT enter the binding mode. What sucks is this problem is almost the same thing that happened with the first Spectrum I tested. The first one wouldn't bind on the receivers end, but the transmitter would bind. Holy teething problems batman!

FYI to anyone with Spektrum M8 problems..... I called to inquire about my issue just a minute ago. They were very polite, that much I applaud them for.

However, they told me to send the unit in for replacement and they would send me another one. I told them it would be mailed to them tomorrow and asked if they would have it back to me by this Tuesday in time for the Nationals. They said maybe. I asked "why maybe?" He then informed me they did NOT have any Spektrum units in stock for warranty returns. "The next batch won't be here until the end of the month.":weird:

Spektrum quality control gets an F- from me. That customer service rep gets a big fat raspberry for almost letting me overnight the unit with the extra charge for Saturday delivery that would have come out of my pocket. He didn't have the authority to give me a heads up that my hurry could not be matched on their side. Had I not read about all the wait times and bad experiences on this thread, I would not have been so skeptical towards him. At least now I have time to find another transmitter module that binds.

Next time, I'll WAIT for the bugs to be worked out.:)

E.J. Evans is the man! He suggested the bind button may not be well designed..... He's spot on. I crushed the button with all 169lbs of myself and sure as poop, it bound!

Another problem has arose. If I saw away at the sterring servo, the unit shuts off. I believe it is the ESC, a LRP Q1. I'll change it and report back.
