Hi guys, I currently have in my 3PK, a Futaba PK-FSM module and I am using Futaba R203HF recievers in the cars. I want to update to the latest Spektrum system that goes into the 3pk, but I dont know what is the better system overall, the current one im using or the spektrum? (not counting the multiple frequency part of the Spektrum, but overall performance)

I've got a question re: 3001 vs. 3500 receivers.

Is there any situation (other than wanting to run telemetry, which I don't) where the 3001 would be an advantage over the 3500? Is it potentialy more robust or is it just bigger?

Thanks,

Scottrik

If you're not using the telemetry, it's actually advantageous to run the SR3500 over the SR3001. It's not only lighter but the SR3500 has a lower operating voltage, so you won't have to worry about BEC issues as much.

As with any Spektrum system you can run when you want, where you want and what you want and not have to worry about frequency control.

Yeah I know that part, but with is the most responsive system between the 2?

And can someone give me a link to what is the latest and greatest system for the 3PK.

The HRS version is the fastest and most responsive Spektrum module and receiver system for the 3PK

What about this one?

RCGaryK 07-31-2007 06:54 AM

It terms of speed/responsiveness/latency, this is the progression

Original Series (SPM1004)
Pro Series (SPM1014)
HRS (SPM1015)

And of course the DX3R is the fastest and most responsive, but that's a ground-up radio versus a module.

Does anyone have any trouble using the spektrum pro system with the Futaba 3PJS radio, mine loses the binding from time to time. Seems as if the contact is not good enough.

Sent it back they couldn't find a problem but replaced it anyway. Still does it with my radio (3PJS) I give up and will the module and receiver.

If you sent your receiver(s) in for updating and they said they were fine, I'd suggest sending the module in at this point. It's the only piece left in the puzzle

Actually they replaced the module and the receiver it is the radio. I will just sell the spektrum or buy the 3PK transmitter my LHS sells it without a module just plug in the spektrum and go.

I got a problem with one of my spektrum mirco RX:

When i wiggle the servo plugs, sometimes the light on the rx goes dim or "vibrates" turning on and off really really fast. If I tap a board or maybe go over a bump or so, its enough to jostle the servo wires enough to do this. When this happens, I lose total control of the car. Kind of like a really bad glitch.

Has anyone else have had this problem before? Is my RX defective?

Is your servo connector bad from the esc? Sometimes I have to replace them since I tend to pull on the wires instead of the connector itself when I disconnect the esc/servo leads, which then cause the connectors to not make a good connection, thus causing glitching when you push the servo connector wire around.

I have KO Propo Helios with futaba s9550 and micro spectrum receiver. I'm thinking to use now the ko propo's low profile, will it be ok or will have any issues?

I think sometime ago I read that were some issues

Thank you

I have 2 KO Propo low profile servos, 2 spektrum micro and 2 GTBs... they're working together no problems whatsoever. check ta05ms thread for further details.
