Have you tried a different receiver or module? Same motor? If so what kind of motor? What kind of batteries are you using? What kind of Servo? Do you have a transponder in the car? If so, where is it mounted? And how do you have your receiver mounted? Thanks
|
Hey Gary it's working! Thanks for the help with that. I guess someone had a brain fart day assembling the module but now that the antenna is routed properly it worked perfectly at the race this weekend. I did have 1 minor blip but it was so quick I almost didn't notice it. I've finally got confidence back again in my Spektrum system.

Good to hear!

I have had my spektrum for about two 1/2 years and it has been great. I have been looking at the lap counting module available for my spektrum unit. I did a search on this thread as well as the entire forum, but could not find any feedback on this module. Has anyone used the lap counter, and if you have what is your opinion on the unit? Thanks :)

Lap counter
I was wondering the same thing also I wonder if i could find out how to buy a cheaper infrared light source instead of paying 50 bucks for the spektrum unit.

when using the spektum if your radio batts get real low that will still kill your range and make it go in to fail safe mode right. i was having problems and just seen my batts were under 9 volts.

I have tried 2 different quantum competition 2 ESC's in my TC and the steering is notchy with both of them. I run 6 cell so I wouldn't think it is because of low voltage, but someone at the track said there is a BEC issue when using those ESC's. When I put my sphere competition in with all of the same electronics and motor the steering works fine. This notchy steering happens without using any throttle.
I really like my spektrum and my LRP ESC's and want to use them together(without a receiver pack). I hear that spektrum has a power capacitor that plugs into an open channel on the receiver and that it might solve my problem. Is that true? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks, Chris |
I run the cap on mine in my 12 scale. It cleared up a gritty throttle and steering. Their only $10 shipped off eBay. It's worth a shot.

the caps are # spm1600 and they are 6 bucks from a lhs

spek reciever shutting down
anyone had there spek. receiver intermitinly turn on and off while driving....tried diff reciver, speed controll and new batts in controller(m8)....please help
|
I had that happen only when I slam the throttle. Try the capacitor spektrum sells. It should keep it from happening.

thanks
appreciate the feed back i will give it a shot....it really sucks when it happens when your setting up for the next turn....and your car wont turn

I had fail safe in 19T 1/12th a few weeks ago. It was exiting a corner late in a race. The car went straight and stopped hard. It was my own fault as I was running no cap or Rx pack. I put a cap on for the next round and have not had a problem since.

this weekend i had one rx glitching like mad tried 2 other esc's and other servos nothing worked also was using the cap to put that rx in my other car and boom worked fine. but before you could turn the wheel once and it would turn about 5 times. and the throttle had about a 2 second delay
