It's free, just send it in.

Without checking the manual I believe the length can be trimmed to 3.6 inches, but double check the manual. That's on the SR3000 and SR3001. There's no real need to trim the antenna on the SR3500 Micro Receiver

Thanks! I will send them in sets.

Hi Gary, any idea when the DX3R will be out? Is it still on target for late July/early August?

Thanks Gary. They're only 6 months old so hopefully they're updated.

One more question, does modifying the case void the warranty? My pro Tx does not fit in my 3pk- it's a little tall.

tom

Yup, sorry. I've heard that as a complaint before though that the modules are a little tall on the 3PK. Actually have heard the same thing on the FAAST modules too.

The receiver that gives me a couple of glitches each day was puchased early June. Haven't had time to even try the module that came with the last receiver. The worst receiver has already been sent in for service. Hope that makes sense, can barely decipher it myself

I'd say send them in along with the module.

I believe so but I haven't talked to the product guys lately to make sure.

Bummer. I think it's only a few millimeters. There's probably plenty of space in the case to make it a little narrower. :(

Thanks Gary for the response though. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with the pro system.

Gary---- problem solved. Took out the LRP Quantom 2 esc and replaced it with a Novak. Been running glitch free since the switch. Will have the esc checked instead of the Spektrum. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I wonder if the fact that a LRP esc doesn't have power cap be a contributing factor to all the fail safe problems I was having. That esc was perfect with the JR pcm receivers.

Absolutely! Anytime I run my QC2 I have to run both the Spektrum SPM1600 Capacitor AND a power cap on the ESC. If I don't the throttle sputters and studders.

The LRP was known to have problems with spektrum. I had to add the spektrum power cap as well.

Wish I'd known that. Someone posted that he wasn't having any problems with his LRP. Thank goodness my system is on a Mini Cooper as they nearly indestructible. Otherwise those nearly full throtle excursions into the wall could have been really expensive

The Tekin's have the same problem. It has to do with the amount of juice that gets passed to the receiver under load. The capacitors help maintain voltage.

Yup. The issues come up in regards to the speed controller's BECs. Tekin and LRP have issues if you don't use Caps, if you're using the KO VFS-1 (I have 2 of these myself), use the handheld programmer or the PC Interface to turn the voltage setting up to 4.0v, and Novak ESC's don't need anything done to them. I use a GTX and a GTB and they work flawlessly.

3PJS

Does anyone have any trouble using the spektrum pro system with the Futaba 3PJS radio, mine loses the binding from time to time. Seems as if the contact is not good enough.
