Fitting Pro Module into 3PKS?

I've got my Pro module into my 3PKS, but I can't seem to get the cover back on afterwards. Am I the only one?

You can't fit the cover after having the spektrum module installed in your 3PK.

And friday I'll post a photo of my spektrum micro in a T2.

You have to take a dremal and take a little material off and then it will fit. That's what I did.

I have a strange issue and looking for input.

Configuration
  • Transmitter: Futaba 3PK with the Spektrum SM1000 DSM Module
  • Receiver: Spektrum SR3000 DSM
  • Servo: KO PROPO PDS-2413 ICS
  • ESC: LRP Quantum Competition 2
  • Car: XRAY T2
Issue?

When I switch everything on and very quickly steer from full left to full right continuously the Spektrum falls into fail-safe. And very quickly after that starts to operate again normally.

I know this isn't normal use. Because chicanes aren't that small, but it is just a strange thing.

I also retested this with 2 other receivers and had the same issue.
And I tested it on a short distance between receiver and transmitter and also at long distance. All with the same result.

Does anybody knows what is happening?

It's a well known fact the the crappy BEC(1.3-1.5amp???) from QC2, when combines with thirsty servo(KO), causes many problems, try plugs a capacitor in the receiver or better yet, get yourself a better ESC with a good BEC.

it appears the spektrum is losing power on lock to lock steering which can be result of the esc BEC not being high enough. this has been discussed on the thread some time ago. the esc your using supplies a lower BEC than most and you should try using a spektrum power capacitor in one of the free receiver slots to smooth out the power under the lock to lock load. you can also use a large capacitor that is used for an esc by wiring a plug on it. this should solve the problem.

Ah that would be great thanks.

I saw the pics a few pages back but it was with a big Brushless esc, wanted to see what it looked like next to a 'normal' esc.

The micro receiver SR3500 has the same footprint as the Novak or KO power capacitor.

Take a look at your throw at the spline...if you're getting side to side throw there, then its something in your linkages instead.

I ended up just cranking down with a bit of pressure, and it ended up fitting in. Tight as heck, but it is nice and neat!

We were running 2 wireless routers and one of the microphones was wireless as well.

...on another note, and don't know if it's been mentioned before, can you run a "power accessory" off of the bind plug on the micro recvr? Specifically a motor fan?
