In short, I'm moving on to another brand because SP has my money and I don't have what I paid for.

If you're cool with that, and even when they say on the phone that they'll do something, but won't, then by all means, buy SP.

I'm done. When they go, Tekin is getting my money.

Sorry, this isn't customer service. This is ridiculous.

2. Check your sensor wire and or sensor board. If possible replace the sensor board in the motor or use a different motor just to test.

3. What firmware are you using? Stock0, Mod0, etc? Make sure you have the newest version available from Speed Passion's website. You'll need to download the free software to your computer then hook everything up.

I'd have to agree. I've had two 1.1 Pro's develop the cogging issue this past season. First one failed in April got the replacement in August and the replacement failed at the end of September (28th ish?). I tried everything Nexus suggested with no resolve. Installed a spare Pro 1.1 with the same motor and sensor wire, problem gone.

I filed a return request the next day and didn't get a response until November 5th!!

It is truly a shame that their CS is absolutely terrible, I really like the performance of their ESC's but if I can't get one to last more than 3 race days and a couple of practice days I'm going to have to think about replacing all 6 ESC's that I own.

Use a good hot iron.

Most prefer a wider tip.

Tin the wire and area you plan to join.

Default Reventon pro 1.1 issue

I have a blue reventon pro 1.1 that has recently developed an issue. It is in my t4.2 stadium truck. Been running it with a new SP 10.5t motor. Been working well then it happened. Got hit hard by a fellow driver and the throttle input quit. Steering worked fine. Checked all wiring and thought I had a bullet connector loose (I switch motors a lot so to keep it easy, I use bullets between motor and ESC). Tuned back on and all fine. Then in the second qualifier, same result after a crash. This time all wiring appears to be fine. If I turn the ESC off, then back on, all works fine. Any ideas?

Check your motor connections, and sensor wires. I got hit once by the motor that broke the harness for sensor wire. That cause the motor to shut off during racing.

Thanks for the reply. I checked all the wiring and visually it seems to be fine...

Thanks, do you know if 12ga wire will fit in the holes in the board on a Reventon R?

You'll have to trim some strands off to get 12 ga on there. I use TQ 13 ga and it fits perfectly.

Default Another one bites the dust!

Anyone seen this with a Reventon Pro 1.1 EX, ESC will shut off completely after hitting a pipe, but not every time? Here's the story, ESC is installed in a 17.5 1/12 pan car and this happened 3 times in one night of racing .During the event the car was hit in the side then into the board that surrounds the track, no problem car rolled away from the crash like a champ. Later the car glanced of the pipe going into a turn and it shut off turn it back on runs like a champ. This was a bad corner for me did that probably half a dozen times but ESC only shut off once. Another instance the car was bumped from behind, shut off again, and restarted with no problem. Third time it was tangled up in a bad attempt to pass, wasn't much of a hit. Any ideas? (I know, I know keep it clean and you won't have this problem :-D)

Do you have temp or voltage protection on? Wondering if the crashes caused a spike.

Ive run the same EX for 2 years now...spectacular crashes and all.

Both temp and voltage are disabled, and that's the funny part it will stay on after a spectacular crash but turn off with the slightest glances off the pipe???

I have a Reventon R and I want to run a high voltage servo. I know the fan has 7.4 volts to it. Does anyone know how many amps these terminals will put out. I was thinking of running power to the servo from this. I was also hoping to be able to run a the esc fan and a small motor fan off this as well.

Hoping I can run 3 or more amps from this vs soldering direct to the battery plug so I can have this power be switched on with the esc.

I've been happy with the reventon s so far but the included 9.5t motor (black can) seems a bit soft even when compared to the grey can 10.5 that was included with a rev pro 1.1. The esc stays relatively cool 120 or so with the fan. I run full motor timing and level 8 boost with the programming card.

I was wondering if anyone has replaced the motor included with rev s combos and if so, what did you get? I feel the esc could handle an 8.5t motor with the way the temps look.

The BEC is only 2 amps on that ESC. I'd be surprised if the fan connector is putting out more amps than that.

What kind of vehicle are we talking about? In the manual, it says that the Reventon S can handle a 7.5T but, IMHO, you'd really be pushing it.

Have you tried changing your gear ratio to get a little more speed out of your other motors?

This combo is in a b5m I am currently geared 23/84 per the kit manual with 4300 shorty lipos. I feel like if I gear it up anymore, it will feel a bit doggy unless I added some lightweight drivetrain mods. I already have an aluminum top shaft and good trans bearings. I do happen to have a 7.5t motor laying around. Is there any risks running a 7.5t motor thru this esc?
