Took my D413 with a Speed Passion Reventon R and Comp V3 motor today. Everything is great except the brakes. They are really weak, I have them set on level 9. I will put it up to 10 tomorrow. Is there anything else I can do? I like my brakes to be strong.

Make sure you have the latest firmware, brakes set to 100% in the esc, and your radio EPA and DR are set accordingly.

I've never had a problem with the brakes on any of my SP products. Off the top of my head, I don't recall there being a brake level in the settings. There's a brake percentage. Are you sure you don't have the percentage set to nine? That would explain your weak brakes.

I usually go to their FaceBook Page Speedpower, and do most of my business there. They do have a chat area and also an area to get an RMA, return merchandise authorization. They do take a long time to repair or replace items. I just make sure I have an extra Speed Controls and Motors. They're cheap enough for me to have an extra just in case.

I have not had to deal with them for some time so not sure how good Customer Service is these days. I know a lot of folks have complained with due cause. I did leave a message on message support, so will see if I get a reply.

Do you guys still answer this support site? Seems your Customer Support has gone down hill in the last year. Your message reads, "we will try to get back to you" doesn't sound like much support if you're just going to try. Not sure how many customers you will have by the end of next year if you still conduct business like it seems the Chinese do!!!

Oh Dear,
So I took a risk on a speed passion Pro. I really liked how responsive it was and how easy to program.
Then at my first race with it this tab on the back broke off. What are my options? Sell the fan and card cheap and cut my losses. Or see if speed passion can do a repair?. What's the best way to get hold of them now?

I had the SP Reventon R and Pro 1.1 and I liked SP's products a lot until I tried the Reedy 410r Black Box and Tekin RSX. I've also tried Trackstar products, but they're junk (great for bashers, not for racers). The SP doesn't come near to how smooth my Reedy and Tekin are and has nowhere near the number of adjustable features. I believe Speed Passion's quality falls somewhere in between Chinese knock-offs and Reedy. It's a great step up from Trackstar, but if you're going to spend the money spend it wisely the first time.
I don't think selling the fan and programming box would be worth the time, energy, and fees (if applicable).

I'm in the market for another ESC and I was going to get another Reventon PRO 1.1 but the way things are looking, I'll probably get a SKYRC TS120A instead. Then again, people seem to have the same complaints about them in regards to responding to emails.

Yeah I've always done well with tekin but just wanted to give speed passion a try, I messaged them on their facebook and a few days later got a reply. It just said send pictures. Then a few more days later another message asking when and where I got it.
I think I'll chalk it up to lesson learned.

I just went to use the Bluetooth programmer I bought for my Reventon R, but I cannot find the Reventon app in the Android Google Play Store. Does anyone have the story on what happened to it or how I can get the app now? Thank you.
