I personally wouldn't use the reventon with anything but 540 can, 2-pole motors. It isn't really meant for 4x4sct.

ok, so know of any issues with trinity revtech 4800kv with a SP reventon pro?

the trinity revtech 4800kv is a 540 4 pole can and right now I am using a 120a HW. 540 Quad magnet is used.
the pro 1.1 is 140a, so to me logically it will be fine, unless some one had tried this already?

This is not supported usage. Now, I don't know if this has changed recently, but when this was discussed a few times it was never confirmed by Speed Passion that the ESC can be used in this manner. Part of it may have been they were trying to boost the motors which when running 4 pole is a big no no with at least the Tekin motors for sure.

the Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro however does work for 4 pole 540 and 550, I know, I used it in such matter with the Tekin Pro4 4000kv, 4600kv, and 4300Kv HD motors and the Hobbywing 4000Kv motor with the siliver rings around the middle.

I hope though that in the future, Speed Passion releases a full 1/8 ESC similar to what Tekin and Viper offer that covers the 1/8 classes and 1/10 4x4 SCT class.

USA support just responded, quickly I'll add. They said no and yes, yes with no timing and no boost. I'd like to use the wifi module in both my cars for programming, hence reventon. Any other SP Escs support the wifi or bt modules?

You don't need any timing or boost on those motors anyway. They have all the power you would ever need.

Only the newer Reventons work with the wireless modules. Older GTs will not.

Reventon ESC will not work with 4 poles motor if you are using TURBO (STOCK1) software on the 4 poles....it will work with 4 poles motor with MOD2 software with mild timing setting.

Of course it will work with 4 poles motor if running blinky....Stock0.

and to confirm, that includes 550 4 poles right?
