Are there any mod buggy users using the mod firmware (non turbo) over the stock 1 (hybrid boost)? If so, why
Can't wait to test it. When I used more recent v3.1 copy cats I could never seem to to adjust punch in a way I could go on power early from a wall ride (without doing wheelies) and also our triple (without nosing up so often) |
I run the Mod0 because I can enable reverse when I want to run with it.

Did two cycles at my indoor track. Kinda refreshing to be able to run 6° dead band without issues compared to my old HW. Brakes are definitely weak at 75% though probably due to my initial brake being at 0%. Power wise feels about the same, not weak or blisteringly powerful. Running 4wd mod buggy, 6.5t, FDR close to 10.0. Time will tell on race night. So far, impressions are good. Low profile fan is also a nice touch. Initially didn't like the 4 cap capacitor and smaller than a grain of rice on off switch but I've gotten used to them.

Installed and Ran my Reventon Pro after running LRP's for the past 10 months. Night and day in my opinion. Soldering tabs are awesome, setup is the same "easy", speedo was smooth and quiet. Never really got to warm running a 7.0 in my Buggy. Can't wait to play around with it some more.

In the short term I picked up a Trackstar 150A ESC and installed it. Happy enough. Then I found a good deal on a Tekin RX8 Gen 2 and grabbed that as well. Looking forward to trying that one. |

How do they compare with feel? My only gripe with the reventon pro is the lvc is inconsistent so I've decided to turn it off which is ok for racing /practice in indoor. So far one of the more if not most consistent Esc I've used... Compared to a few hobby kings, 2x hw v2.1 and a 160a Toro |
Been using SP for years and enjoy their reliability. They do have terrible Customer Service though. You have to be very patience when returning items that have failed which is only one esc in 4 years. Took 3 months to get it back. I just bought one extra for times like that. It's always a good idea to have an extra. Cheap enough to allow me to afford more then a few. What is lvc? You mentioned you turned it off, what does it control? All my SP run cool along with the motors too.

Curious if anyone is still running the SP BLAZE series motors?
Since the SilverArrow seems to be MIA, I will probably go with the new HW 8th scale ESC. http://hobbywing.com/goods.php?id=33....0.0.0.0.0.0.0 For those who HAVE run the Blaze series, in keeping with my SP allegiance, what is the optimal motor for an RC8.2E? Also, I may break into the 12th scale game as well, will a Reventon StockClub ESC work on 1s? wondering about a 13.5 1s 12th scale, or do I need to get the reventon EX to have 1s capability? Any other 12th scale drivers in here? (yes this is Offroad....) MOmo |

Have done up to 15 cycles in the 1.1 pro, quite happy with it so far. Increased brakes to 20% initial force, overall nice and smooth. Will test it soon with a 5.5t

Some further testing, upped initial brake to 30% and think I've found my esc setup for carpet. The weak brakes were holding me back.. Have shaved off over a second from first cycle. Hasn't let me down on carpet yet...
