Make sure you extracting the files to a folder on your hard drive and not running the installer from inside the zip file.

HELP! So i bought a brand new revention R wired it up to a speed passion 5.5 and put it into my buggy today. I turned it on and everything worked fine but my gear mesh was to tight so i turned it all off and adjusted it then turned everything back on and nothing will work.

Is there supposed to be a light on the esc because if so its not working but the fan is?

Also the light on my receiver is no longer lit up either, does that mean the Esc is not working at all?

At first i trouble shot to see if the new receiver wasn't responding but turns out it is working fine.

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure but a 5.5 might be to much for the R. You might check the specs. Yes when you turn you ESC on a light will come on. Not sure which color, I'd have to check mine. Does your steering servo work? I'm not expert but thought I'd chime in. I do have many Speed Passion motors and esc's and havent had really any issues with them. I have had more problems with their Customer Support.

It worked just fine, both the servo and motor, then i turned it off to mess with the gear mesh then nothing would respond after that. No light on the receiver just the fan running.

Can anyone else help me out?

The fact your RX is not lighting up is strange. It should light up even without any ESC plugged in. Disconnect the ESC and review all the wiring. That's where I'd start before looking at ESC issues.

Isn't that how the receiver is powered, through the esc.

Even with the nothing but the esc and motor hooked up shouldn't there be some sort of light lit up on the ESC?

If i were to just power the ESC should there be any sort of light working?

You could have a RX and servo plugged in and working without an ESC plugged in.

How is it powered though

What is going in with customer service? I was emailed three weeks ago about a three month old repair. I responded and left multiple voice mails because nobody picks up the phone.

I just want my repaired ESC back.

Pretty sure my ESC lasted less than 5 mins great.

I just plugged everything all up in multiple combos and just the fan on the ESC runs thats it no lights no response. Out 70$ great

Guys I need your help ,currently racing 2wd buggy using a V3 7.5 motor and a ESC V2.0 .
What software is best to use ,stock no timing or one of the mod software? If I use the no timing software can I increase the timing on the motor bell as it seams this motor is a bit sleepy lol.
Thanx

you can surely run the blinky no timing firmware and should be just fine. turn up the motor timing a bit at a time and keep checking temps. anything under 150 is very good. if it starts getting warmer than that you may want to not go much further. but you shouldn't have to. you can still adjust the punch (drrs) and if you have it at 5 or more you should feel the motor has enough punch and top end.
i generally have best success with mod firmware and like to adjust the timing depending on the track. a bigger track and I can surely use more timing and a smaller one is when I'll take some out.
either way will get the job done.
