@RichyRich: Have you tried adjusting the DDRS setting? This will affect the "rip" much more than the timing. It really affects how much torque you get and thus acceleration. Try going up 2 or 3 notches to see what it does, then back it off if it's too much. It's a nice adjustment for different track conditions as well. Kinda like a current limiter…

Hi Guys!

What program should I pick on Reventon R (with a competition v3.0-7.5) for use with a TRF 502X buggy?

Casual use - no racing...

STOCK1 and keep the timing settings mild.

Hey guys,

Just loaded stock1 software into my reventon pro, as soon as i put the car down and pull the trigger it goes into a limp mode/ lipo cut off with both the orange and red lights flashing. Bench testing it is fine but as soon as its on the ground and full throttle is given it does it. Loaded in mod2 software and it works fine and has been working perfecly with stock0 as well. Motor is a Nosram Pure 8.5, lcd v2.7, PC Interface V1.1.0.24. Any help would be appreciated as it appears there would be added benifit running stock1 over mod2 with an 8.5

Thank Paul

Paul,

Do you recalibrate the transmitter to the ESC each time you change profiles?

Not really sure what you mean by DDRS? I'm using a Momba Max Pro as the ESC??

G'day Nexus,

I haven't been recalibrating when changing profiles, but it has worked fine with all but stock1. I will give it a try and see if it helps.

Thank Paul

Edit: Recalibrated and still have the same problem with stock1, low voltage off, over heat off, default settings for 8.5 in hybrid settings, 9.5 fdr. Any ideas what it could be?

Strange it would only happen in one profile. It could be related to the Nosrom motor. Does that have an internal temp sensor? I know with some motor one of the wires in the sensor wire between the motor and ESC needs to be cut.

Viper motors were one of the ones identified. Maybe Nosram is similar...

In your case it won't apply. The presumption was you were using a SP esc.

Do you have the castle link software? It may require a different profile setting or check the sensor wire.

Just received a Reventon R & Competition v3.0 7.5T motor...

For the price these things just scream quality!

The size of the ESC is small compared to what I expected from the images. The Competition motor feels substantial and looks very well made.

I sure expect to see these two in action pretty soon!

Is SpeedPower no longer offering combos with the Reventon Pro 1.1?

I don't believe Speed Passion ever had a combo with the 1.1 ESC. There is/was always the Reventon S, R, Pro 1.0. The 1.1 is the newest of the ESC line along with the EX.
