Just make sure whatever radio you use is at 100% when you calibrate the radio to ESC. Otherwise your max throttle will not be as fast as it can be.:)

Thank you! for the information..

How do the SPV4.0 motors run? Never ran a SP motor but looking at a 9.5 for my 2wd buggy as for me 7.5 and 8.5 are mor than I need and with a 9.5 my driving will be much smoother overall.

I like the 8.5 and 9.5 V4s for the small to medium/small track.

A lot of guys around here are using V4 4.5s and 5.5s for onroad too :)

What ever happened to the new ESC's that SP was working on?

Along those lines, I use a Futaba 4PKS -

the EPA goes to 120, so for calibration, do you push the setting to the Max and then back it down from there? since "Technically" 100 isn't Max, 120 is?

The Stock Spec Firmware is made so it can't be modified, so the Club Spec ESC like others, come "Hardwired" with a set firmware. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of a Spec status. All the other versions, S, R Pro Etc can be modified with a FIRMWARE change.

I was having problems with what I thought was the Esc ended up being a motor. Issues are now gone!

My Esc fan on the reventon pro 1.1 has finally died after six months of light use

Is it okay not running one in 4wd mod buggy

Just mounted a spare 30mm yeah racing fan.. Should do the job.

Question for the motor gurus

I race dirt oval in a class that specifies we run the speed passion club race esc and the recent ion 17.5 motor with a 10 degree fixed end bell. Well everywhere I look it's back ordered. So I may pick up a regular esc/motor kit and put the end bell on separate. I see now they have a new mmm revention motor but it's an 11-20 degree motor. Could I take this version and put a 10 end bell on and be better off than the regular ole 3.0 with having to buy an end bell? Says the new mmm is better and lighter but not sure if I can get/find the end bell for it to make it 10 degree. Thank

Doug

Motor rule

Just Read it again... Motor has to be speed passion 17.5 unaltered from how it comes out of the box and has to have 10. Degree fixed timing end bell.

I just found that direct page today, which is great! If both motors were set to 10degrees fixed timing, what would the pros and cons be of the regular 3.0 vs the MMM 3.0?

Nexus 09-29-2016 02:51 PM

Does the host track stock the motors?

Technically the MMM motors are newer and better than the V3.0 they were based on.

I'm guessing you've seen this from Speed Passion. If not, here's what they say.

The New Speed Passion Competition V3.0 MMM motor series has the following features:

A. Totally redesigned motor front plate and rear motor end bell.
Totally new design and stronger material motor front plate and rear end bell ready for the most extreme condition.

B. The new and reinforced timing sensor unit
I run the 3.0 motors in my trucks and they work great. Never really felt the need to get a MMM.
