Where do you normally race around IL? Maybe one of the local SP users/racers could take a peek. Depending on where you race I might be able to help too.

Are there any plans to have the Reventon Pro remember its last state of the on/off switch?
The reason I ask is that due to the length of the sensor wire I have the ESC is mounted in such a way that the on board switch is quite hard to reach, so it would be nice to be able to have the ESC remember it was "on" the last time I unplugged the battery.

I’ve been running at Leisure Hours Raceway and just started at RC Raceway. Greg graciously offered to help me with the wifi module this weekend but after doing a bit of analysis, I strongly suspect the app and not the module is the reason. Greg doesn’t agree with me here.
The module is essentially a wifi router and by setting the IP address before connecting, we ensure that we are on the same subnet, 192.168.11.xxx. It doesn’t matter what number the last octet is as long as you don’t use 123. That’s why the video uses 192.168.11.111 and the manual uses 192.168.11.223. Both should work. Once connected the app is creating a socket connection to 192.168.11.123:8888.
I first thought the issue was the module, but I used my Mac laptop to connect to the device with a static IP. The LED then went solid as the manual said it would for a iPhone connection. I then used terminal to telnet to 192.168.11.123:8888 the connection was successful and the LED began to blink ~2/second. Just as the manual stated for a successful app connection. This made me realize the problem is not with the module.
I disconnected the laptop and had my phone connect. Again, the LED went solid as expected. I started the Reventon app and verified that it was unable to connect. Using a telnet app, I then connected to 192.168.11.123:8888. LED began to blink ~2/second. This rules out the phone.
I tried connecting with an iPhone 5:iOS 6.0.2, iPhone 4:iOS6, and iPad3:iOS 6.0.1 using the Reventon app. All unsuccessful. I was able to connect one time using the iPhone 5 but could never reproduce it. I believe it was due to a race condition.
I believe the issue is the app. Greg mentioned that he has successfully connected iOS 6.0 devices before.
So, as far as resolution goes, there’s only a few things going on here:
There is a problem with the app.
May be due to iOS6 or iPhone 5.
There is a problem with the device.
I am using the wrong IP:Port combination within the app.
I really like the two Speed Passion ESC’s that I have but I’m annoyed that I am unable to switch the software without the wifi module. Someone at the track(Frazier) initially set it up with a PC and LCD box.

Another possibility is a HW change. In the video, upon successful connection, the LED goes out. On my unit, the LED stays on. If my version is older, perhaps it doesn't play well with iOS6.

I went to the hobby store tonight to try another wifi module. Same problem. I'll either try to go back tomorrow when the guy who normally uses it is there or I'll meet Greg at the track on Sunday.
Really bummed that the junker pc laptop I have is the only I'd be able to change the firmware on my 2 ESC's.

I responded to you PMs. We just picked up a iPhone 5 and I have an iPad to test with as well.

what are the different KV ratings on the Silver Arrow V2 Motors ? Also, are these any good for 4x4 SCT use?
Any more news on the new 550 motors?
Anything new on getting the Reventon Pro compatible with 4 pole motors?

I have a T4.1 FT and the GT2.0 in it with a Ultra Sportsman V 3.0 10.5R motor. My question is I have V 3.0_120428 Mod software in it and still playing around with the Boost and Timing. I don;t know if I should add boost and take out timing or take out boost and add timing?
