I'm guessing this is what the correct one should look like. My buddy sent me this pic if his Cap.

Mine does not look like this one.

Losing Reverse

I have a GT PRO 2.0 that I am using in 2wd buggy with a 10.5 motor. For no apparent reason, ( I haven't found a pattern yet), I lose reverse and sometimes brakes as well as reverse. :( The only way I get it back, is to hook up the programming box to a pc/laptop and the esc, and reload the 428 stock software. Any ideas as to why this happens? This seems to be happening more frequently (every other week.) as time goes on. Thanks

I am using 6% neutral point on the esc. Futaba 3PM-X transmitter. with a Futaba R603FF receiver. I always lose neutral at the track. It will always be working when I first get there. Sometimes it happens after a battery change, sometimes after a settings change on the ESC, or sometimes while I am driving. On the funny side, losing reverse forces me to drive less aggressively because it it is a pain in the butt to have to go up and down the driver stand frequently just to straighten out my car.

so tonight I got my new Reventon S, set up the ESC with the ultra Sportsman v3 10.5 motor, I calibrated the Esc to my radio and it worked fine, Then I wanted to play with the programing card and take some drag brake out and fine tune some other things and when I plugged it into the card I got the SP symbol then four dash marks across the little screen ----, Well after that I could not get the program card to do anything else so I plugged it and tried the esc to see if anything had changed, well I got the steady orange light but no power to the motor, recalibrated the esc still nothing....now My question is can I do a reset on the esc ?? there is no instruction to a full reset? and do I have to update the program card before I can use it ? Thanks for any help guys !

schumacheracing 12-01-2012 11:42 PM

OK found Out I do Need to update the programer before I can use it, but I am still not sure why my ESC now does not respond or let me calibrate it to my radio ?

schumacheracing 12-02-2012 12:35 AM

Ok I got the Card working ! now my problem is when I am trying to calibrate the esc with my radio I no longer hear the tones coming from my motor....Does this mean maybe I have a bad motor ?? I believe thats were the tones come from is the motor ?

servo? if you are using a savox remove it and install a good futaba one as well. also if you can change the response on the radio make it as fast as it can go i.e. c1 or c2 of possible and make it high response. put the settings back where you want it and reset radio to esc. what i have been finding is that the narrow the neutral point on certain radios esc cant determine where it is and gets confused

Got my Bluetooth module thursday and tried it out at the track yesterday it makes changing esc settings so easy. The bad news is my shutdown issue has returned again. When it shutdowns the esc is off if I turn it back on I have no throttle until I recalibrate the radio to the esc then everything works normal. Any ideas?

mike
when it shuts down see what the motor temp is with the your phone or lcd module. also when it does shut down do not recalibrate it just let it sit for a few then turn it back on to see if it works again.

Motor was 129 esc was 86. If I let it sit for awhile it does work normally.

Anyone know what the motor limit is for the Reventon S? Considering getting one for my RB5, just wondering what it can handle.

Max is 9.5. I'm running a 10.5 in my buggy with a "S". It works great. Using mod1 firmware.
