I got my ESC and 13.5 motor today. Thought I would post an install since nobody has.

Here they are in the box:

Unboxed

How not to pre-solder. I put way too much on, made it hard to head it up enough to get the wires on. Just lightly tin them.

The wires are on. I put heatshrink over the motor wires to keep them insulated from the power wires. If I had another colour of heat shrink I would have used it!

Test fitting it

Wires trimmed and everything together. I think I will shorten two of the motor wires to make it look nicer.

The only problem I had was not reading the instructions. After I did that it worked perfectly. Before I read them I couldn't get it to link up. The ESC needs to be put into programming mode, then the ProGauge is attached.

It's amazing what one can accomplish after reading the instructions.

Assuming you picked up a VST 7.5 to go with your esc, with stock rotor and 30* timing our 7.5 is 4400kv.

Edit: This table is helpful to have on hand when tuning our boost function

Got the first grouping of Viper products into my 22 for this weekends JBRL...very exciting. The esc and motor and so clean and went it easily. Anyone else notice how light the motor is in comparison to others...oh yeah!
