Ok I'll be putting together a Losi 22T and looks like I'll be running a 8.5t motor in it. I have a VTX10 BE sitting on my bench I could use or I could pull the VTX10R from my son's XXX-SCT and put the BE there...that truck runs a 17.5t I know SCTs and wheelers, due to their weight/drivetrain, push the ESC a bit more than a buggy but what about a ST?
Am I plenty safe with the VTX10 BE and the 8.5t in the 22t?

Well I learned a lot at the track. It was a frustrating day trying to get the truck to handle. It would slip and slide at the slightest throttle and trying to get it through the turn was no fun.
I was sitting in the pits, changing tires with my brother. I was thinking about everything and thought about the punch lvl I was running. Well I was at 90%, thought I was at 80%. I dropped it to 10%. WOW what a difference. It sort of gradually took off from the corners. I was able to keep the rear end from spinning. Yet it took a while to get going. Sort of like Grandma power level. So I raised the punch to 35%. That worked better, but still a little slow. I did not get a chance to try anything else. Brother truck had a motor melt down so we called it a day.
Buzz.

Im running the copperhead r5150 combo in my scte. I love it but ive run into trouble. Ive been fighting an overheating error with the esc. I narrowed it down to the cooling fan taking a crap. I installed a novak fan on it this morning. Truck ran great in first qualifier. Went to the pits to adjust some braking. I saved and loaded profile, then unhooked my proguage. Now the esc just has a blinking green led. It wont respond. I have to unhook the battery to turn the truck off. The esc doesnt chime or boot up like normal. I tried to rebind the receiver and makes no change. Viper doesnt mention what error is occuring. The system is only a month old and i fear that now i have tried to fix the fan issue myself, that i will have trouble with warranty. I have also eliminated the shotty birdcage bullets from motor to esc and soldered them permenant. If my warranty is void from these changes, i will look into another company to power my other two trucks.
Contact nikos2002. He should be able to help diagnose your problem. I'm not a Viper employee or sponsored driver or anything. They (in particular nikos) have been great to me and everyone else I have talked to.

How do i recalibrate, the esc doesnt respond to anything i do? If i hook up the battery and try to turn on the esc, it just has a blinking green light. Ive tried pushing the power button, holding it for 3 seconds, 5 seconds, a minute, etc. It wont allow me to recalibrate or enter programming mode. I have to unhook the battery to shut the truck down.
