In my B4.2 and now moved to my B5 I am running a VTX10 with a SP V3 MMM 17.5 with no issues. The one suggestion that I believe is always made with non Viper motors is that you disable the motor temp protection as it may not be compatible.

nebiforever - not quite sure what additional information you want - that's not different from what every other company puts out there. We do 3 different kv ratings - 1900, 2100, and 2700. The 1900 and 2700 are Delta winds, the 2100 is a Wye wind. Bearing sizes are 5mm x 11mm x 4mm on the bottom and standard 1/8 x 3/8 x 5/32 on the top. You can PM me for more information.
Cain - we have never had issued reports of problems using other motors with our speed controls. We have tested with all the popular brands, and some you have never heard of. We do see that there can a large difference in the sensors in how they work with our protection cut offs. But little testing can help you make sure you are comfortable with the settings.
Currently all the VTX10 models come with the "pig tail" style capacitors, even the Orange series. Its just updates we have made over the years to bring the Orange series in line with the Black Edition technology. We still sell the surface mount capacitors as an option. But the updated designs are more efficient and will produce better overall results.
The differences between the 10 and 10R series - besides a little height difference, is just that the 10R can handle lower turn motors (hence the extra height).
Right now we don't have a "blinky only" speed control, because in other parts of the world, blinky is not required, so we need units with all the options available. But our unit is also designed to help tech inspectors see that not only is the blinky mode activated. But also that the unit is in neutral at the same time, so it can be accurately checked.

The orange VTX10 and VTX10 Black Edition are similar. The orange VTX10R and VTX10R Black edition are similar. Difference between 10 and 10R series, is that 10R can run lower turn motors - 10 series is limited to 7.5. Yes all will come with pigtail style capacitors. You can still purchase the surface mount capacitor for the orange series if you like, but we recommend the pigtail design.

Here are to options to think about with mounting the VTX esc with the pigtail capacitors. The Black Edition pictured is actually one of Lee Martin's from the IFMAR Worlds - he just shortened the lead wires so the cap stayed right on top of the ESC. The orange VTX10R is one of my spares, I put it on the side, shortened the wires slightly (could have a little more, I am picky like that).
Its OK to shorten the wires on the capacitors, you really don't want to lengthen them, they loose efficiency at that point.
