One of them was spinning almost free in the socket. Took it out and the mesh used to make contact was completely degraded. Dug another connector out of the box, soldered it on and problem solved. As has been said here many times, check your connectors any time you are having an intermittent electrical problem.
My Copperhead R that I bought for my EXO buggy had "birdcage" style connectors on the wires and I swapped them out for solid bullet plugs. Anymore in the hobby, it's a good idea to ditch the birdcage connectors on anything that they may come on (esc, battery leads, etc) and solder on solid bullets. I personally like the Duratrax ones a lot. They're quality bullets and on the lower priced side compared to many others.

Default Brake adjustment.

Hello guys.
I just picked up a Viper VTX10 , 8.5 combo.
I have it set up.
I use map "1".
that map only has 80 % brake.
with the EZ link what brake option do I use to increase brake?
I would like to increase the brake on the trigger.
What value change is thet? A higher value or a lower one?

Thanks

Ran at Motorama this past weekend with my Mugen Mbx7 with the VTX8 and Vf8 2100. Car ran great no issues while others around me had issues with their non viper ESCs. I ended up qualifying 12th over all in intermediate buggy.
The viper system was strong and plenty of power to spare.

I want to thank Bob Barry and Fred and Jim Hustins for all your help with my system.

Ok so I just got a VTX10 BE back from trade in of the one I sent up in smoke a couple weeks ago. Thanks for the quick turn....on to the question...there is a sheet that says it has firmware a64 on a sheet included with it. I assume this means I should upgrade my other Viper VTX10 and 10R ESCs to a64? They are not BE but old school orange.

Also there is a new connector hook up on the capacitor board that I haven't seen in the past...what's it for? Fan?

Ok add to the confusion, I went to the Viper page and it lists the A55 firmware but the sheet I have says this A64 was released on 2/1/14.
