I don't know...kinda tired of it. Mine's been doing it for a while. Probably before the warranty was up but I didn't realize I had a major issue then...lol.
The motor seems fine and strong, I'm considering a castle or something else if we can't resolve this. I don't like paying my cash to race and then can't finish a heat because of this.

On a good note though, I'm glad to hear the same problem from other people besides me.

I have had a similar prob with my sons VTX10 when I first got it I found that the esc doesn't like hard vibration. I was using the supplied double sided tape and when he landed hard or hit a pipe hard enough it would shut down for a few seconds to a minute and then restart. So to fix this prob I have now been using Velcro to secure my esc, it allows the esc to move a little bit and that fixed the problem. you can try that if you don't think that its a heat issue. a lot of guys at our local track have had some kind of heat issue, and it doesn't seem to matter what kind of system you run so if you like viper stick with them there service is great and overall I do like the product and there allways guys here to help with problems you may have. cant say that about all the systems you buy. hope this helps

Today I ran my VTX8/VST4.5XL combo today for the first time. It worked well for the most part but the no power to the motor problem is still there and I couldn't run a whole race. I had the same problem when I ran my Copperhead/5150 combo. I have a new Airtronics M11X radio system, new tube connectors to the battery, motor and esc are hard wired. I also tried a receiver capacitor. The only thing that has not changed is my steering servo, a Savox SC-0254mg. I'm pretty sure my Viper equipment IS NOT the problem. I talked to a guy at the track that had the same problem with a Tekin system. He said that as soon as he changed his steering servo the problem went away. Considering everything else has been changed I really do believe the servo drawing lots of amps and is causing the esc to cut power to the motor somehow. I've got a new servo on the way. I'll let you know how it turns out.

You copy-pasted specs for Copperhead-R ESC. I want the motor info that comes with that ESC as a combo.

^ I was wondering that, too. Viper has software for all of the ESCs except for the Copperhead. Instead of a page like every other ESC gets, you get the combo page. No links for software O.o

I have another race coming up this weekend. I'm gonna try your velcro fix and see if that works for me.

Hi Guys,

I'm so glad to be back with Viper!

I'm getting ready to place an order and was wondering what Copperhead combo you guys would go with for this track?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10E4AOqrQMs

I am grabbing a VTX8 as well. I'm still running my Vtrax10s in my 1/10 scales ( yep, you read that right Vtrax10s) Still running like champs.
