sorry, guys was too busy at the office yesterday to get on here - thanks to those whose answered questions.
-- yes, a64 was designed and tested with high speed settings on the major radio brands. In the past we have received 2-3 comments from people with that version of the KO radio, while others report no issue. The high speed setting (or setting it to "lower speed"), doesn't effect the overall operation of a speed control, it will still react with great, quick, smooth reactions. As Bob had mentioned previously, check a different model on the radio to see if you get a similar experience. As sometimes different models can vary on signal.
- Brakes, stopping power. I think with what Tom is looking for, that is determined more by the motor and the magnet power it creates. The speed control can tell the motor to stay locked on brakes, but the magnetic field of the motor might not "hold" the car when you push it.

On another note, when redoing my setting on the vtx8 the car now seems to be comming to a complete stop when I go into netural and not freewheeling like it did before (same settings) could this be a cause of the advanced setting?

Spec oval guys/gals get a chance check out the VTX1 in your set up! Nice to run a 1S w/o a booster pack or a reciever pack. Started running them in my SK-Mod and Nastruck the last 3 weeks. SK Mod 3 runs and Nastruck 1 run. What control in the SK-Mod!!! And the size is a perfect fit in the small area's!!! 17.5 or 21.5

Update: Finally all my stuff is coming in the mail including the VTX10 BE. Can't wait to finally get it in my b5. First buggy as well. I'll be using a 17.5 mach Reedy motor. Any suggestions as far as setting up the esc? Thanks everyone.
I would run the default profile #1. then adjust from there. The out of the box profiles are pretty good imo. Profile 1 is a pretty neutral setup and you would make minor changes for the "feel" you want.

I was able to run my setup again. It does haul some mule. I did make a few changes, reduced break strength, upped boost. made changes to the truck too. I am getting the truck setup to work a lot better. Each time I get more out of this motor / ESc setup. I went from spinning circles to launching like a rocket. The more I run it, the better it gets.

17.5 buggy (blinky)
5000 mhz throttle pwm
100% punch
dead band medium
linear throttle curve
800 mhz brake pwm
67% brakes esc / 75% radio (this only works with 800mhz. If I don't run 800mhz, I feel like I have no brakes with this setting)
12% drag brake
I was about the same on a55, except 6400 or 8000 throttle, 1600 brake, 89% brake %, 100% on radio, 0% dragbrake. Geared at something like 33/69 in an RB6, 38 deg motor timing on a reedy mk2 17.5
