Viper RC -

Wow...I took advantage of the trade in program Viper offers and stepped up from my old VTX10 to the VTX10R black edition. I was a bit nervous about how long I would be out an ESC but they were on it, processing it and shoving it back out the door like it was on fire! Barring any USPS problems I should easily have it back for this weekend. Freakin' awesome as always!

VTX1 - two time and defending ROAR 1/12 National Championship speed control - no booster needed, small footprint, mounted capacitor for better packaging in your car. Of yea, its 2s compatible also down to 8.5 so use it in your TC with 13.5 and 17.5. Also TQ and won Snowbirds F1 class, A Main in 1/12 Mod IIC, Snowbirds - 13.5 1/12 in Snowbirds and IIC.

Even Hara has one!

thanks for the info on the VTX1. In general, are the drivers using some type of receiver pack to provide voltage to the servo or does the esc boost internally the voltage to the servo?

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to all the customers and drivers who have supported us. Last night was awesome - Lee drove great, he is a class act. Travis might not of gotten the result he wanted but looked good. It was cool watching the podium celebration knowing our stuff was there!! I have a bunch of pics to post, could write a whole story on the night if I had the time (and thought people would want to read it). But it was a big night for a little company. Going to get some rest 4wd registration today - wait to you see what all the big hitters are coming with - I think almost everyone has a new chassis design for 4wd.

Big congratulations to Lee Martin, Viper, and Tamiya. I was hoping he'd pull off the win but he still put Viper and Tamiya on the podium. I'm sure it isnt much consolation to him but it's an awesome achievement regardless.
Good job guys!

Looking for a esc and motor for my b44.2. The orange regular vtx10 isn't recommend with a 6.5? I see amain sells the vtx10 with a 6.5. Just wanna make sure I don't order the wrong esc and the vtx10 is cheaper than the vtx10r combo

I agree...get the 10r not the 10. I run the 10r and it gets pretty warm in my Caster S10b running a 6.5t. I'm assuming it is due to breaking...can anyone confirm that breaking from high speeds can/will increase ESC temps?
I never thermaled but it was pretty warm (I believe my temp gun is not giving accurate readings so I can't give a good temp).

You want an 'R' for any and all 4wd applications. I suggest the Black Edition as it has a few changes in it that give improved braking over the 'Orange Edition'.
and yes, hard braking can cause elevated temps.
