orangutanracer - email that with your order - they are really looking for something to verify with -- you won't believe what some people try and pull.

Thank you, I have been communicating with Cindy to work out a solution.

Nikos,

I sent my esc and motor in last week. RMA 081420121115 when you have a free sec, will you let me know how it's going?

Thank you!

Ok guys, don't be mad at me for being off topic, but if you love full size cars as much as our smaller ones, this is worth the 5 minutes.

I personally enjoyed the final 30 seconds the most.

I appreciate your support of the Military but, when I contacted the company I was asked for a CAC and AKO. There are legal and national security problems in providing this information.
I asked my COC and was told a copy of an LES (with social and bank account numbers blacked out) and a Drivers License would be more than enough to prove Military service to an online retailer.

Yes sending a photo of CAC is illegal. I sent an email from my navy.mil email account and that worked for me.

I don't actually do the tech work - but I sent the request over to those who do -- as soon as I get answer I will send it over. Don't shoot the messenger if its not til Monday - I just saw the post -- I have been flying home from TX today.

Anyone care to give a starting profile for a VST13.5 in a SCT? I just installed a VXT10R. Are there any sites with team driver setups? I saw a couple on the product page but no SCT on there.

Boost. I had received an email a while back from Eric Kim with the attached profile and that is what I have loaded right now. If that is a bad jumping off point then I need to know by 3:30p today.

Well with no response to my post above I ran that profile in my race last night and won the A Main. YEA!!!!

Quick question with something that came up though...I ran in practice, no problem. Cleaned up and charged up for the heats. When it was time for my heat I plugged in my battery and turned on the ESC and I was getting what I believe is the thermal shutdown error (Red and Orange lights flashing). I could steer but no ESC response and I couldn't even shut it off, had to unplug. So I turned the motor just a bit and plugged the battery back in and turned the ESC on and it worked normally. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

The is a VXT10R ESC with a VST13.5t and a 2S Lipo.

Thanks Chad...super bummer about the Tekin crapping out on you right before the start of racing. I wanted to see that 22 run so I know what I'm up against when I bring the B4.1 out. Got to get some Viper gear for that car now...I'm sold for sure...put a VST 17.5 in Sebastian's SCT as well.

Do me a favor and shoot me a PM with a buggy tired suggestion for Rt281. :tire:

My viper finally failed me :-( tested fine on the bench and test laps went out for some more and it shut down. No temp on esc and 13.5 motor was 103 degs really conservative now when I turn it on rx works steering good esc arms and when I hit the throttle the esc resets as if I turned it on and off. I did notice after some more tests the cap looks white instead of grey and seems to get hot can I replace the cap or do I have to send it in?

AndrewTom 08-26-2012 04:14 PM

hey guys
i finally got in my viper vlink
holy crap, i didn't think it would make that much of a difference! :ha:
it was like an on/off switch. night and day difference. it accelerates WAY, WAY harder.:sneaky:
this is going from A19 straight to A55.
the only thing i can complain is that a 10cm USB adapter wire is about useless in my opinion, but luckily i have about 5 of them in 6ft, (maybe it is a good thing to have more Cell phone chargers then you can keep track of)

This will probably void warranty. I had this same problem once with a VTX10 and I removed the board / caps. I soldered a 10v 4700uf cap on and it worked like a charm.
