1/8 stuff is in the pipeline. Thanks for the pick Rick!!! It never comes fast enough!!
For the AE gearing- B4- I know one driver is running 30/75 with some boost added. wicked fast. For B44- the 81/19 should be close. I ran 81/18 with a 7.5 and was holding on!!

I recently got hooked on SC racing and wanted to enter the class cost wise. I picked up a used DESC410r and bought the copper head system. I have enjoyed my three other viper esc and never REAL problem.
Question
I have a VTX10r in my durango 4wd. Would you guys recommend me transplant that system in the SC. I would use the copperhead system for my sons. Would I notice a difference? If so what would they be? A little more smooth to throttle response?
Don't get me wrong the copperhead system flys on my local carpet track.
Last question.
One of the systems I bought used. vtx10. There other units on startup make a startup chime. This does not. Is this a setting? I have used the progauge but can not find it. No running issues..

One thing would be nice to see and that is to have the 8 profiles independent from one another, right now if you change a setting in profile 1 it changes to that setting in all profiles, this way if i want to run 2 races after blinky in profile1 i can change to profile 4 which i could have set up for open race mode with boost bam i am ready to go with out changing all the settings back and forth, don't know if that can be done but would be nice.

It all comes down to what you are looking for. If your a serious racer that needs it all the 10r is the way to go. If on the other hand you race for fun and don't need the extra's the Copperhead systems are more than capable.
Hope that helps

I run them both in my Losi SCTE. The VTX10R and 4.5 is a really nice setup in my truck. There will be a big difference when it comes to settings. You can really fine tune your power with the 10R.

so...I'll be running a Copperhead ESC, and VX4R 4500kv motor tomorrow for the first time. I did a couple of test laps in the street after I got it installed. Will take a few runs to get used to that sound.
Is there a "hot" setup for this combo? I'm about to hookup the Pro Gauge to it for the first time so I was just curious if there's any tips out there.
I geared it conservatively at first, figure I can always go up in pinion or down in spur if it comes off cold, but its too late if you over gear it from the get go.
Thanks guys, can't wait for tomorrow

The Pro Gauge is pretty cool. I just wish it came with a little pouch or something so i could throw it in the tool box without having to worry about damaging it

The sensor is internal to the motor and reads substantially higher. I had mine set at 170 and it was thermalling all the time with the motor at 120 external. I ended up setting the cut off at 220 and haven't had problems since.
