does this motors have a funny smell like they are burning up but yet they are warm to the touch.... has this happen to any one with a new motor?

my motors should be in this week, i have a race saturday. i will start off with the motor on a tekin rs with my normal 13.5 settings.

i will be running a t4 chassis' B4 buggy.
