Ok I couldn't get them below 150 for whatever reason. When I get the gearing figured out I will be sure to post it. I got my vtrax yesterday so I will work on the gearing with that speedcontrol in the buggy. Thanks for the information!

Another great race weekend with the VTrax/VST setup.

Do you know when they will be available and approx cost ?

This question has been answered several times in the last few days

Looking beginning of March, and should be a hair cheaper than the corresponding Tekin
Any other pricing and availability questions, please refer to the last few pages

Don't worry, well worth the wait!

I just got back from the first annual Enid RC Shootout in Enid, Oklahoma. I qualified 4th and finished 4th in stock truck. I also finished 3rd in E 8th buggy. My 13.5 ran great in truck.. The previous weekend I ran 13.5 wheeler at Adam's Creek Raceway in Broken Arrow, Ok, at their Big Offroad Race. I qualified 3rd and finished 2nd with the same 13.5. I had great power and consistently good temps after the runs. I am looking forward to trying my other motors and getting a vtrax.

Dlewis, nice run in Topeka.

Well I finally got to test the Vtrax and motor in offroad and it was dead on! TQ and win by almost 2 laps in stock SCT. Smooth and fast! Motor was never more than 20 degrees above ambient and esc was at ambient. Probobly could have gotten even more out but why? Would have rather run mod but only one other showed up and there were 20 stock entries. Gearing was 26/87 in the SC10 VST 17.5 with 30 degrees in the motor and 30 in the esc.

I posted the gearing I ran a few post ago 26/87. I have limited expierence with the MMP but I would set the cheat/boost mode to about 20 degrees to start and begin/end rpm at 3000/10000 and go from there. This should be "safe" and gear/boost up till you get some heat.

alright thanks alot!

Can you use a VTrax10R for 550 motors or is a 1/8 esc more suitable? I know with the RS Pro it makes the speedo run a bit warmer than usual. Not sure about longevity of the esc in the long term with a 550.

Per my discussions with Weylin I don't think there would be a problem with the R version. he could definitely answer better than me.

There is a driver who is going to be testing the R version with 550 motors, shortly, I believe.

But we will also be developing a specific 1/8 esc shortly.

The Vtrax10R is perfect for 550 motors and 4wd SCT. We have done testing with 5.5 and 4.5t 550 size motors and it performed great. May even try the 10R on a 1/8 motor :sneaky:.
