Sounds good. I might have to order 2 R's then(one for 4x4 SC and one for 4wd buggy).:sneaky:

There ya go. You wont be disappointed. My 10 has been rock steady in my 2wd. Getting ready to switch to mod this weekend.

What's the latest firmware that you guys are using? Just hooked mine up and didn't know if it was the latest or if I need to update it. Thanks!

Justin, I am running 1.0. I THINK Weylin said their is a new one that has the updated boost setups in it... but im not sure.

I was using 1.0 at the JC race as well, and it hasnt let me down yet.

I cant wait to see the 550 motors too:)

The R runs the 550's flawlessly... We have been running both a 4.5 and 5.5 on the R for the last month, it's a killer combo. I don't have any 1/8th scale motors otherwise I would drop one in and test it.

1/8 in a Sct? The kv is too low for 2s. Whats max motor limit for vtrax?

You can run up to 4S on the VTrax10R but depends on which motor turn for the 550's. Not sure about the 1/8th scale motors for testing, since there are plans for 1/8th scale ESC's I never tried.

I could see the VTrax10R being used in the 810e on 3S with a 5.5 or 6.5, light fast setup. Very versatile, tons of tuning options and a huge support net.

The latest version from our testing is A16, shoot me an email if you need the file. You'll need the PC link to update it of course. Unless you're running a boosted class I wouldn't bother updating until the production firmware is released. Should be very very soon now :batman:

Cool thank you. A16 is what it has.

Was thinking of using vtrax for my 1/10 Sct 4x4 or 1/10 durango. I will need a 1/10 motor n a 550 motor

trevinator 02-28-2011 09:21 PM

I've been watching this thread since the end of November. The waiting for the Vtrax10 hopefully will end soon.

The PC link does not come with the Speedo. You will have to ask Weylin for it specifically.

So would you guys say these are the best/fastest motors available as of today? I'm just wondering how they compare to tekin ect... Or is it mostly hype? Also why would a company call their motor line viper and then use the snake head too. Looks just like viper alarms logo or is this a division of DEI? The name really turns me off to be honest but I could buff and polish the snake off. Lol!

So are they the best in your opinion?
