Installing my VTX10 8.5T into my TC5 drift car today! Any recomendations on gearing?

Im not sure on an exact starting point, but viper motors like to be geared a little higher than most.

So, what does that mean for warranty items to be returned? Am I going to have to wait till they get back for them to ship my ESC back?

if its been warrented and is pending shipment back, then im sure it will get done, but if you just sent it in, then yes you will have to wait for weylin and raegen to get back to the shop in order for the esc to be warrented.

All RMA cases were inspected before these guys left the office on Thursday. We will ship out the replacement as soon as the shipment arrives next week. As far as I know, all existing RMA cases were of service dept and waiting for the inventory to be backfilled before we could ship back to customers.

For new coming RMA cases next week, it will take a little longer than usual. We will inspect those new cases as soon as Raegan and Weylin get back to work on July 12. :nod:

Rage, I wasn't sure, but wondering if you mailed my 2 10'r esc's to me or not. I just wanted to make sure because I havent gotten them yet and wanted to clarify with you if you did.

Awful lot of talk of returning speedos for warranty work, kinda making me a little nervous on my choice. Is there some sort of design flaw for these that consumers should be aware of?

Q- i have seen several of these run. they have great power and run cool. just seems that most of the posts are from the problem ones. i have seen the same trend in the tekin and mamba threads. i am getting a viper system for my scte.

they should be shipping!

The first batch had a few issues. the second batch had a design flaw that only a couple suffered from.

its still a brand new speedo we are getting things sorted out and its turning into a solid system our 10's and 10r's here at the JC race have been running good from 17.5 NR buggy/sc into 2wd mod buggy/sc and our 4x4 sc with xl can motors.

Even Ricks 1/8th motors are dialed! :nod:

a lot of the issues have been solder problems people having some solder cross over between 2 of the post's

ill be doing that forsure! i might be buying another one because my team icon motor that ive been running doesnt have the speed to stay with everyone else especially in the heavy scte i need the speed.
