So you just download and then install the a30 on my older vtx10 with a19?

as long as you have the software cable to plug in from laptop to speedo thats all you do

nikos2002 03-13-2012 07:14 PM

PC Link quick directions:
-set up car like you are going to run
- Open PC Link software
- Turn on car, plug PC Link into car, set in Link mode like ProGauge
- On software choose USBO as port, it will show Connected on screen.
- Choose the software desired, select Download
- Software will tell you when complete

just make sure you note what your setting are before you do it, when completed the update resets all your settings to factory presets.

Small problem

I just put together a mod buggy with a VTX10R ESC and 7.5T motor. When I soldeered everything together and programmed the RX and ESC. Something isn't right. The motor is flat and won't wind up like it should. I have it geared 23/78 and it's on profile 1. 100% punch and motor power is 100%. The whole thing seems dead. I can't figure it out and wonder if something is wrong with the ESC or motor. They are both brand new. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

Pull the sensor wire off the motor, turn it on and pull pull full throttle. You should get a solid (not blinking) light when you are getting 100% throttle.

Also, we would need to know things like endbell timing, what car it is, etc....

Also check for binding in the transmission and drivetrain for drag

Also verify the wires are soldered correctly on the motor. One time I had swapped two by accident and the car kinda sputtered a bit, not full power.

Need a starting ESC and gearing setup for Durango 410 buggy with 6.5T Trinity D3. 87 Spur.

Track is medium bite. Fast with big jumps. Average lap times are in the mid 18's.

I geared my 4wd at 85/21 with a 7.5 the tranny ratio was 2.43 - so if you know the ratio - that might help. Start probably a tooth or two lower -- and always check temps every 2-3 minutes while you are trying to help figure out the gears.

Picked up my first feature win tonight in my TEN SCTE running Viper copperhead.

I have had zero problems with the copperhead....

I had the same issue. Be sure your throttle EPA is set to max before calibrating your ESC. My DX3S was only set at 100% the first time I did the calibration and it should have been at 150%. That seemed to fix it for me. Hope that helps!!!

Troy.

Generally, you need to have your EPA set at only 100%. Didn't think to say to verify that your seeing the correct lights for full throttle and full brake.

Anyone in the Northeast heading to the Short Course Nationwide Series event at RC Excitement in Fitchburg MA, stop by the Viper table.

Not only to see the latest in our product line, but tips and tricks as well!!

Nick I don't have my SCX60cf yet but I may be up if I can juggle some things. I'll hang with you at the table if I can make it and help provide some support so you can kick some tail with the mad rip on the track :D

Thanks Joe, I would appreciate the help! Looking forward to the weekend.
