Try starting around 80-22 (depending on the track size) - check temps to see, but 2wd doesn't generally cause too much heat. If you are just getting back into electric, start with Profile 2, get used to the power band difference before you go crazy trying to make sense of the electronics - them just make simple changes at first. I rarely change the Profile 2 settings for 2wd or 4wd, except drag brake.

Default Fixed!

I posted a few days ago about my throttle cutting out after landing hard with the buggy. I followed the suggestions to try a new sensor wire and everything is working again. Thanks!

i have mine geared at 76-24. rarely gets over 130. i run on a big outdoor 1/8th scale track. profile 2 with 15% drag brake below like 5000rpm. super smooth!

Awesome guys thanks for your help, on a side not i have to say that the esc and motor package looks amazing and the build qaulity is top notch and the price point man you guys nailed it, i was looking at other systems and my friend Tennison who i believe is sponsored by you guys was the one who turned me onto your equipment. Now Does anyone know what the stock spur gear is on a 22?

My speedo was wrong on profile 2, it had boost and timing. Went through it with pro gauge and set how the profile states in the manual. Have not went through the rest of the profiles to see if they are right.
Is there any specific settings I should look at and change for a D3 8.5.

Ed, Profile 2, should be Modified off road no boost. That being said, all these profiles can be adjusted and saved.

jsp - I agree, we have a kick a-- graphics team!!! The boxes look awesome, you should see the iHobby booth - its rocking - again!! Check the Facebook page for pics.

I know that is what it was supposed to be, but when i loaded profile 2 it was blowing off my tires. when i checked the settings it had boost and timing. Was just wanting to let you know, its know big deal. Just had to re glue my tires.
Do you know if i have to change the brake or throttle freq. Or better yet what do the changes do.
Is the info on the setting changes correct in the manual?

Profile 2 is modified off-road non timing so that is the right setting for your D3 8.5. You might want to try turning down the throttle punch from 100%>75%. I dont know why when you checked with pro gauge it had boost active. Try the throttle boost first and hope that helps.

You can find more detailed help on the forums in our Viper website

I run the same system in my sc10, and i find profile 2, with boost enabled works best for me, very smooth with more than enough power.

Oh, and is there a way to reset the esc back to its original perimeters?
