From: Idaho,
i run a losi scte, a hitec 7950 servo. This is the first time i blew a cap none of the less both lol and running xcelorin 6000 60c batt. Can the tekin caps work and ya i have my endpoints set right. It worked great in the first qual so i went up on my gearing and turned the throttle punch from 18 to 16 and then in my 2nd qual my car stopped and smelled like rubber and noticed the caps were gone.

I dont understand how it did either. one cap came completely off and the other came off but whatever is in the cap is still there. Could i get the tekin ones and try those?

Well, I think I'm BACK. I have been off pace with my 2wd sc truck for about the last 2 months. I went racing Friday with my new Kyosho but the ball diff is bad and i didn't do that well. Went racing today with a gear diff "30k" in it and GAME IS ON. The normal fast guys where there and i TQ'ed. I also went up 1 tooth on my pinon and made a good difference. Viper 10.5 motor still was only 120ish after 6 minute qual's. Broke a steering servo arm in the main.
Also TQ'ed and won e-8th buggy but there was only 3 of us
We had 3 heats and a main today
Here is the qual sheet.

HI,
I have a problem, my motor VST 8.5T is really hot. with the ESC VTX10 set at 220* for motor cut-OFF, my car stop on the track.
I have basically the profile 2 (with some modifications on the braking).
I drive a losi22 with pinion 23 on a track in astro. final ratio = 8
What should I do? I'm the only one in France in my club have the Viper

Personally, I would gear higher to start. Try a 28, maybe higher and adjust from there, run 3minutes and temp. Undergearing can cause it to run hot also. I try and keep my motors at around 140 ish. Also Viper motors generally need geared about 2 teeth higher than other motors. Hope it helps.

I wouldnt be able to warranty any more if you add a tekin part to our esc so I would say no. Does it still have power. If so I could send out new caps.

I noticed on Amain that the USB kit is in stock. I ordered me one as soon as I saw it.
Can you guys tell me...Does it come with software in the package? Is it downloadable from anywhere? (I didn't see it on the website).
Anyone have screenshots of the software?

We dont usually run acccel timing on 8.5, Top is fine. Where are you at with the can timing?

30 degrees on the can, this setup was awesome for me when we ran our club races during the day because track was medium high bite, now we run at night and our track is basically like indoor clay outside, very high bite running bar codes, so now im looking to get more punch since i can get it to the ground.i know on can timing if you advance it you get more top end but loose torque and vice versa. these motors are tricky to get dialed in and i was thinking if i gear up and retard timing i may get what im looking for, but you guys know more than me
