I dont know how many times I have stated... run a bigger pinion than you normally would. Start 1-2 teeth higher. These motors are torque based. So if you want to get anything out of them, you have to gear up.

Oh I did, and now I have a unique aroma that comes from my motor lol, motor still ran rather well though.
Atleast that is my best guess. Mine are all still running great! |
Well that's good to know, I thought I had melted it

Vtx10r. Amain has them.
Premierehobbies.com has them in stock too... might as well buy from a Team guy! If you are running a 4wd with a decent sized mod, go 10R. If you are going to run a 13.5 class, the 10 will work just fine. |
Hope I can explain this right.
Im running 2wd 17.5 buggy outdoors. I need the "SPEED and oomph" but MAN does the timing hit hard. I have adjusted the RPM range but it just hits soo hard it breaks the back end loose. Any idea on what to adjust to get a nice smooth power output? Also on the "speed" setting with the degree/1000 rpm what exactly does that affect? Thanks Chase |

All righty...here's a quick one for you team guys. So I talked one of my buddies into a 10R right after I purchased mine and he brought all his gear over today so we could set up his sc10 4x4.
I got everything soldered up and am ready to calibrate to his dx3r pro. I went ahead and bound his radio to his receiver first but when I tried to turn his esc off it wouldn't shut down. I unplug the battery and reconnect then hold down the power button for 3 seconds like the manual shows but nothing happens. The only light that comes on is the P light and none of the other LEDs would come on. When you try to shut down the esc, again nothing happens, the P light stays on. Now when I set mine up to my m11x last week it went into calibration mode no problem. I looked thru this thread as I recalled seeing someone about 12 pages back that had a similar issue but there wasn't really an answer on how this was fixed. |

Did some troubleshooting on it this morning after a little sleep. I thought it could be the receiver because I noticed his transponder blinky wasn't going off last night when I was pressing the power button which would mean the receiver isn't getting power. I unplugged the servo, esc, and transponder from his spektrum receiver and plugged into a spare airtronics one I have. The esc would then go into calibration mode with my m11x. So now I was thinking he might have a bad spektrum receiver and I plugged everything back into it to double check and the receiver works fine and it would go into calibration mode on the first try.
